  • Oh easterfraw - how right you are. Please add exressive too. Graham Melb Aus

  • enchanting

  • Oh he sings so sweet, great Richard Tauber!

  • Thank you for uploading this, and giving us a chance to listen to this excellent rendition.

  • The end sounds like Caruso's voice!

    Somebody agree with me?

  • a voice as wam as a vintage port

  • Elisabeth Schwarzhopf considered him the greatest tenor she had ever heard or performed with and I can easily agree with that.

  • There has never been a tenor to match his totally crisp clear notes and timber, "Beautiful". Maybe it's because his voice verges into tenor baritone that brings in tonal quality. Why people rave on about the three tenors Heaven Knows.

  • His voice has so much emotion and Tauber along with Bjoerling are my two favourite of all time.

  • Those are also my favourites of all time.

  • I love this song...........its instrumental version is very nice, too.

  • Bravo!

He is better than Mario, isn't he?

  • Mario who?

  • yes, he is!

  • The most magnificent voice ever.

  • one in a million have a voice like this :)

  • Extraordinary voice. To me his voice and that of Jussi Bjoerling remind me more that of Caruso. Of course the great Italian tenor did not have the advantage of modern recording equipments. It is thrilling to have the chance to hear these voices in Youtube. Wonderful thing for people like me having 66 years old. I never dream of that.

  • He might have been known as the German Tenor to you, but in the rest of England he was known as The Viennese Tenor

  • The is THE version. I did a search for this and found it. Thanks for posting it here.

(Does anyone have Tauber's version of one night of of love?)

  • It has been posted here

  • Mario WHO?

it is so easy to forget how wonderful this can sound UNTIL YOU HEAR RICHARD TAUBER.

  • He was a brave or lucky man being german and living in england during the war. But the one thing that i do know is he could sing.

  • He was not German, he was Austrian

  • @gillhill92

    and not German as well

  • Only one thing to say---beautiful.

  • FANTASTIC!!!!

  • I haven't heard this since I was a kid. Thanks for the memory.

  • Gorgeous! Richard Tauber was a very great and special singer,as well as a very special person.
