Adding color is so unneccessary. It is best to use the least amount of artificial coloring as possible esp. when your skin absorbs the ingredients. If your skin is not to touch it , it is still Very much not needed.

The colorants are "FD&C colorants" that are friendly and safe to use in foods, drugs and in cosmetic products. In dish washing , there is no need to worry if you choose to add a little more to enhance the brightness of the color. Aesthetically speaking adding colors is just to enhance the attractiveness of the products. It is really an option whether "to add or not" . For own use, you may omit colors & make it "colorless" if you wish. You can even cut down the cost.

Actually the 2 ingredients you've pointed out : SLES( w/c don't easily dissolve in the water ) & salt, are basic ingredients of some wash. However w/ SLES alone, aside from the thick bubbles , still can't carry out the full function of a balanced and good wash, with grease, stain & odor removers,yet so gentle to skin, too. Some add-ons materials are to be added,in order to achieve the purpose- spec. for porcelain, plastic & other chemically made plates,cups,bottles, etc.

Thanks for doing something about producing your own detergent mix. It's a great idea. But you will still miss all the powerful and precious functions of your products, if you will not try ZENAMix.
