  • The lead vocalist on Arnie's Love version was in fact Arnold Josephs. I know because I was in the studio when he recorded it back in 1983 in New York City. I too like Arne's version better. I was his bass player then. His brother is Tony Lee, who did the song Reach Up, another classic track.

  • arnie love version...sounds a lot better. sorry

  • Wow, i'm with the rest of you, i had no idea this existed. But Arnie's Love's version is better. Now i must hunt down this version.

I've always wondered who the lead vocal on Arnie's Love was, i had this feeling that it was Billy Griffin, maybe someone knows.

  • And...THEY'RE BRITISH!!!!

  • Wow!

And I thought Arnies Love did it first.

I like the 2011 version too...

  • what a beautiful revelation. Not knowing that this was a cover version has absolutely amazed me. How unusually beautiful to have air in my lungs to come across this rough diamond of a tune. Still like the 1983 verson more, though.

  • Never knew that Arnie's Love wasn't the original until now - the say you learn something new every day!!

  • I like Arnies version better

  • Add me to the growing list of people who never knew the Arnie's Love version was a cover. This is nice also. Why didn't this ever get any airplay?

  • good i love delegation

  • Didnt know this was the original, you learn a new thing everyday, really good tune though

  • My god, I've never heard this original until now. Must confess though, that I still prefer Arnie's Love's cover version.

  • Ja ja das waren noch Zeiten, als wir noch Partys mit euch gefeiert habe.

    Es war einfach nur geil

  • I love the Jaco Pastorius influenced phasing and tone on the bass here.

  • Perfeito!!

  • Love the bass loop of this arrangement...

  • Wow! Only heard Arnies Love version - I have a 12" by these - "Singing" which I don't think got the recognition it deserved.

  • I love this version, adore the Arnies Love version.

Something in me says this song was written with Al Jarreau in mind. It has that feel.

  • how true! it has that laid back west coast feeling to it. the mixing, the rhodes sound and the horns on arnie's version remind me a lot of al jarreau songs in the early 80's.

  • @danoba6 yeah you're right. The voice kind of gives that unmistakenly Al Jarreau feel.

  • bonita cancion.

  • Hey cool! You have many more hits than the Arnie's Love version I posted. Great version.
