@070273304 I never touched the program deactivator. I guess you can go into it and make sure that chrome and GOM player is enabled. Then I suppose you could go into the settings for Program Deactivator and uncheck "disable automatically when closed." As I said before I never touched it, why exactly did you?

@wwetna247eddymad My computer is 64-bit and it works fine. I'm not sure why they placed it there because 64-bit is compatible with most 32-bit programs. I just think they didn't re-edit the website in a long time because when I first found out about rocketdock it was the time 64-bit just came out and I also was unsure at that time if 32-bit programs worked on x64 systems, but they do.

@baconheaven so you would like to return to windows xp basically(no annoying popups). Well in Windows 7, type UAC in the start menu search and click "change user account control setting." Slide the sliding bar all the way to the bottom where it says "never notify" and press ok. UAC is used as an extra layer of security so that you can stop any possible attacks that may want to change certain settings without your permission (or so Microsoft says, jk).

High performance will use more energy because it uses the full potential of the CPU. This means the you will get to your games and programs faster but your laptop battery will also die faster. It is not recommended to use this plan if you are not charging your laptop.

The registry contains all of the settings of a Windows OS and applications etc. Using any kind of registry cleaner that you find on the internet can possibly "clean" necessary entries and cause your system to not function properly. Services are also important and requires research to see which ones would not affect you so that you can safely disable a few.

IMHO guys....i'm a tech guy...and if u want speed up your computer....try ready boost....and ofcourse..if your using windows 7/ xp or vista....make sure u have at least 2gb of ram....1gb is not enough even if you enable readyboost....2 sticks of 1gb is much better for dual channel....2 x 2gb for high performance....also...disablin­g startup programs will help your pc to start faster....i will not recommend CCleaner or defragmenting your hard drive since this will not speed your pc..

and defragmenting your hard drive may just stress out yout hard disk and cause mechanical problem....so all in on...if you want a faster pc....you shoud have at least 2gb ram and always check task manager>performance> then check if the CPU usage is 0% - 5% which is not stress or loaded...because if it is loaded like 50% up...the pc will be busy or slower....2nd is the memory usage..check if u still have memory available...if it 100%...you canno't run more programs...

All that stuff is good but not good enough.For those who are using window 7( 64)bit think their perfermance low. Simply over clock your Cpu, Video Card and Ram. Maybe to about 5% and you will see the difference.

My personal score= Processor7.6  , Ram7.6 ,Graphics and Gaming 7.9(GTX580 Black ops adition) and finally Primary hard disk 5.9. (Vraptor10000RPM).Now for the disk driver if you really want to improve, upgrade to SSD drive.
