It is not permissible in shia Islam that women recite Nauha, Quran etc in Public places, they can only in ladies. Also Shia Islam extremely discourage singers to recite all these in public places. They do not have any belonging with shias. Thanx

It is the shame, woman shouldn't recite noha with a man. Unfortunately, noha khuwani and mersia are in the hands of the professionals and they dont care about the cause of the karbala and they dont know they are damaging the shiite by doing this.

Wrong implication, Bibi Zainab never addressed the gathering of the men before Karbala even she didnt come out from the tents when Imam Hussain (A.S) was alive. I dont say woman cant recite the noha she can (if she is in hijab), but in the women gathering or at least men should be well separated . The way here is totally out of the Islam. If you think I m wrong go and ask alim.

Such a beautiful Nauha !

Shame the 2 reciters smiled throughout !

We read this Nauha @ Hussainia Mosque (Birmingham, U.K.) in Muhurram 2008 & cried while reciting.

First time we practised in Birmingham was a couple of days after Benazir Bhutto was murdered & even then brought to my eyes.

This was the first time I've ever seen men & a woman reciting Nauhas. Plus this was the first time I saw the face of the famous (Afshan).

Agree, most of the actors and male singers are shia, but actresses and female singers are sunni. I can give you the list if you wish

If anyone respects Muharram, shut business and recite noha it doesnt mean they are shia, Hussain is for everyone, there are several who are neither shia nor sunni but they are in between them and called mulai and the name you mentioned they are all mulai (dont know about noor jahan). There is a large number of sunni brothers who love Hussain (A.S) like shia and recite noha. It is out of the ethics otherwise I have a big list of the Sunni actresses, including porns, I can write here.
