@vampirekiller777000 Well... Balance issues will surface and maneuverability issues will happen.

Really... Gundams aren't really that effective for realistic warfare. These are some problems that would surface if they build a live one, How would you deal with the recoil of massive weaponry? How will you control the Gundam? How will it withstand impacts? How much would it cost?.. etc.

Also I'm sure that the enemies would be able to see it coming from a really far distance.

@silvershines All good points,but if a real Gundam had anything near the capabilities they do in the anime,they would make for effective weapons if deployed in the right situation,you drop a giant walking tank in the middle of a battle you would at the very least cause some intimidation and panic among the enemy.

In one of the anime, I think it was MS Igloo.. They actually stated that a mobile suit costs hell a lot... However lets not compare the anime's economy with real life's one.

However for a giant robot that's taller than your average skyscraper with armour comparable to the current Abram/Challenger 2 tank armour.. Imagine the cost, It would be like x20 the cost of Abram/Challenger 2 tank. I think building a platoon of tanks would be better option than -

@Flynn079 one robot that you'll airdrop down onto the enemy line and turn it into a bullet magnet.. However i'm sure if there're mech robots in future conflicts, you won't see a gundam.. You'll probably see something much shorter, without lasers xP.

P.S: Modern day military are VERY capable of destroying things........ .......and blasting them into oblivion.
