Although I don't agree with all the movies on your list, I do agree that The Lord Of The Rings series is by far the best film(s) of the decade. I also loved your entries of The Departed, Kill Bill and Wall-e. I feel that although No Country For Old Men is a good movie, it is not a great movie (highly overrated). I absolutely despised There Will Be Blood and it boggles my mind that so many decade lists include the film. Maybe that is the feeling that you were supposed to get from the film.
my favorite films of the decade: 10) a serious man 9) where the wild things are 8) no country for old me 7) me' you' and everyone we know 6) mullholand drive 5)dogville 4) dancer in the dark 3) climates (Turkish Film) 2) 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days (Romanian Film) 1) There Will Be Blood
absolutely agree man. maybe not no country for old men, well i didn't hate it, i loved it actually, but it is not good enough to be on my top 10 list. however, fantastic choices.
yea baby the lord of the rings in my opinion is the greatest movie ill ever see within my life<3<3<3<3 ive seen all 3 sooo many times that ive started memorizing the script
best list ive seen so far, but what is with people with lord of the rings and no country for old men, not that impressive for me, it needs The Pianist, Glad you put in Mystic river,
how could you not put the hurt locker or inglourious basterds? those were some of the best movies i've ever seen. at least you didn't put avatar on the list.
one question, is brokeback mountain just some gay cowboys who going climbing the mountains, if they eat pudding then its considered an independent film
Lord of the rings shouldn't be counted because it's a trilogy, because there is more time to explain the characters, and story. Not like single movies where they have to cram all that in a 2 hour movie.
This decade represents the social network, facebook, texting, tweeting (ugh) bad music, & a national economic depression.. & the Internet no longer being fun & free without ads.. killed AOL- the only good social anything::sigh:: & most of all no proper Hackers 2 sequel with anjolina jolie & the original cast... I gotta live with that. I guess I really should've partied like It was 1999 cuz once It was over It was ALL OVER! It even killed the "Music Video" with something even worse...reality tv.
I agree except for Brokeback Moutain and Mystic River. Good films, just not the best of the decade. Good pick for Lord of the Rings though. Fantastic movies. Thank god you didn't include Avatar...
Agree With All EXCEPT- Kill Bill and Lord of the Rings. I liked both movie but neither of them are top 10 material (Lord of the rings well ok maybe number 10-7). Of some other great films are- Gladiator (major list fail), Training Day, Black Hawk Down, The Incredibles (come on this one of the best damn family films -,-), Finding Nemo (ring a bell?), Cast Away, A Beautiful Mind (another major list fail), The Prestige, Blood Diamond, Crash (many more that i just can't remember at the moment.
"The Departed" is a remake of a Chinese movie called "Infernal Affairs" and I honestly have to say that the Chinese movie beats the Hollywood remake hands down.
It's funny, actually... I was going to write "What about Lord of the Rings" as a comment throughout the whole video, I cheered when I saw it one the number one spot, Well Deserved!
All great movies, I love Kill Bill, and the Dark Knight as well.
My top 10 of the decade: 1. No country for old men 2. The Dark Knight 3. Inception 4. Moon 5. Lord of the Rings 6. Sin City 7. Memento 8. Gran Torino 9. Inglourious Basterds 10. Kill Bill
manny u chinese man whore!!!!!how did the LOTR end up as the best movie..The dark knight shud have been the best...kill bill n gay cowboy movie..how about the bourne movies ,A beautiful mind, the constant gardener, sideways or the gladiator..u lip dick sucka
My Top Ten Films of the 2000's: 1. Burn After Reading 2. Cache (Hidden) 3. The Man Who Wasn't There 4. Memento 5. The Lovely Bones 6. A Serious Man 7. Inglourious Basterds 8. Keeping Mum 9. As It is in Heaven 10. The White Ribbon
awesome list. but i would have to go with 1. LOTR series 2. There will be blood 3. Memento 4. Fantastic Mr Fox 5. 28 days later 6. District 9 7. 127 hours 8. Toy Story 3 9. Let Me In 10. The good the bad the weird im not saying those are the best, just my favorite of the decade
Agree with No Country For Old Men.....probably has the best psycho killer in any movie. As for BrokeAss Mountain - You won't find me watching that one...
i agree with lotr...but i have to say that the other 9 movies could easily be replaced by some other 9...of course, it's your choice...
just some other movies: the pianist, road to perdition, the road, the boy in the striped pyjamas, lord of war, eight below, hachiko, the illusionist, the gladiator, catch me if u can, valkyrie, v for vendetta, the puirsuit of happiness, like stars on earth, independence day, the amn from earth, hitler the rise of evil, der undergang, enemy at the gates
there will be blood was the best movie in the 00s without a doubt. and lewis's performance is one of the greatest male performance of all time. btw where is oldboy?
I can believe this list, its so american wheres the european and asian films? just cause its foreign dosent mean it shouldnt be included there is masterpieces totally over looked by this approach! Wall-E really, clearly you havent seen studio ghibli's work its alot better than many of disneys movies!
It's pretty cool that if 2010 had been included, there's no way that Inception wouldn't have been on this list. And that'd be three from Christopher Nolan.
Is he, with David Fincher, the greatest new director of our time?
BTW, great list. Don't know if I would've included Kill Bill. Not that Kill Bill isn't wonderful, I just don't know if it's that wonderful. Probably would've replaced it with "Donnie Darko," just as a shout-out to the indie lovers.
fuck this list and the people who made/voted for it .. TRAINING DAY should definitely be #1 .. sorry to the dark knight fans.. i know heath ledgers performance was mesmerizing but honestly without it -- the movie would've only been appealing to the fans of the actual batman comic guy. oh and a fuck you in advance if you're gunna reply saying that i'm retarded and batman is the best .. a big fuck you in advance
These are not the top ten films of the decade. They are the top ten american mainstream films of the decade. I didn't see a single British or foreign film or any independent films in that list. What about Hunger? Or Grizzly Man? Or Amelie?
no children of men, avatar or pans labrinyth? I wouldn't have even put there will be blood on that list I have never been more bored than when i watched that movie.
wow lotro? seriously? If your going to have a list covering the decade should at least have "The Matrix Series". The Wachowski brothers visionary of having the technique to 'slow down time' was used a shit ton of films from then up to now. Kill bill was also over-rated
LOTR FTW!!

fuck this list and the people who made/voted for it ..

Or Amelie?

wow lotro? seriously? If your going to have a list covering the decade should at least have "The Matrix Series". The Wachowski brothers visionary of having the technique to 'slow down time' was used a shit ton of films from then up to now. Kill bill was also over-rated
