I can say about something. I think makers of game add balaban cannons which were used by Ottoman army after 14. century.they were biggest cannons in the world.this cannons win against byzantyne empire which is last part of empire of rome.after victory of Ottoman empire dark age was finished

I love total war games they kick ass, i got all shogun games which i think r amazing and also medieval. I hpe they reamke shogun tough cos tht would be wiked. I got a bit bored of medival after a while, it always ends in a mass charge which is incredibly fun but gets a liitle tedious. However if u press pause u can still give commands so wen u unclic pause all units move at the same time which is useful. Medival 2 looks awesome a must buy

ive played medieval total war for about a year..rome for a about 6 months..and i see rome as being the more strategical..in medieval all it was,was a big charge and it ended in rome the units moved at realistic speeds and made maneuvers possible..so im thinking in mtw2 they will remove the blobbling effect that was in rome to make even more strategy than rome had. mtw was good..but anyone who would rather play 2 dimensional graphics over 3 is just crazy..

It's there to get you through walls! Don't use them on an open battlefield, use them to take Citadels over. Are we all complete strategy morons? Their obvious lack of knowledge dealing with military history will reflect on their strategy. The Turks had numerous gunpowder units during the time period not to mention huge cannons. One cannon used against Constantinople fired a 2000 pound shell. The game looks awsome. I can't wait to finish Infantry training and play it.

The large cannon is named the Great Bombard common among the peak of the Ottoman armies, it was used to take down the walls of Constantinople. The arrows are fire arrows not lightning. You obvisiouly never played any of the TW serious even though fire arrows weren't introduced till the Rome Total War series. you also have to remeber that this is a video tape of a movie screen so its not going to be perfect quality.

Actually the Ottoman Bombard did fire a explosive shot that easily destroyed the walls of Constantinople and any infantry atop them. Those aren't machine guns either.
