Umm sonic next gen in my opinion actually is one of my favorites because I just forget about the glitches and play the game. I mean seriously what was the last game where you could play as shadow, tails, knuckles, amy and sonic as well as omega, rouge, blaze and the new silver. I guess I sometimes just feel like playing as different characters not only sonic because he does get boring eventually.

well technically, it was microsoft and sonys fault sonic 06 sucked. they rushed the game, so the full release is really a beta version of the game. if they programmed it about 3-9 months longer, it could have been a great game. not as good as sa2 or s3&k, but it could have been a great game.

It was Sega's decision to release it in November so they could take advantage of all the stupidly blind fans and kids that would get it on day one or for Christmas. Also, the game was badly designed. Even if they fixed the glitches and ironed the game out it still wouldn't have been good.

Personally, I thought Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Genesis should have switched places on the list. Sonic Labyrinth (in my opinion) was actually pretty fun, but Sonic Genesis, on the other hand, was utter garbage, and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Sonic Labryinth for the most part was quite playable and had a pretty cool soundtrack as well even if the concept wasn't all that great. Sonic Genesis for GBA was a glitchy, laggy, hard on the ears audio wise and almost completely unplayable, I think its far worse than Sonic Labyrinth.

It was a port of the game Sonic The Hedgehog for the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) but it was a very bad port, but it WAS a port of the original. And read the instruction manual for Sonic Labyrinth, then you'll know why sonic couldn't run

I agree with everything on that list except for Sonic Spinball, replaced that with the crappy Sonic Unleashed on PS3 and X360 and put them in this order:

1. Sonic Jam (slow, annoying, terrible control, no color)

2. Sonic Labyrinth (slow, slugging, terrible control)

3. Sonic 2006 (bad camera, slower speed, slow loading times, a wtf storyline, bad control, annoying voice-work)

4. Sonic Genesis (slow, glitchy, bad music, the Sonic Advance games are 10x better)

5. Sonic Unleashed (hate the werehog)

@RubberDuckie3999 the first two Sonic game was for the Sega Master System, the first was Sonic The Hedgehog, then came Sonic The Hedgehog 2, featuring Sonic with new sidekick Miles "Tails" Prower.

When the genesis was release, Sega decided to re-release the first two sonic games. Or at least, that's what I recall.

It's definitely a mediocre racer, but I think it has a unique charm and to me it's the only Sonic racing game that does the series justice since you're running on foot (no cars or hoverboards, I did enjoy Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity though). In regards to the music, you either love it or you hate it (I personally didn't mind the music).

The games on your list are bad, but I think you could have found much worse, everything after sonic heroes was pretty much un-playable that's where I would have looked first.

Great list. Yes, I'm a fan of SONIC '06 but as a fan, I can appreciate how it boils down to a glitchy mess of loading screens (and I recognise my love of it stems from blind fanboyism) and therefore respect it being included. Totally agree with LABYRINTH. What a freakin' joke that game was! *laughs* Good conclusions drawn here and general agreement from me. Also, great musical choice!

Sonic is slow not because the developers were thinking sonic should slow down for no apparent reason

If you read the on the box or look up the story it says I quote " Dr. robotnik capture sonic a chained shoes" making him slow

Plus it is a puzzle-game

That means HE IS NOT I REPEAT NOT SUPPOSE TO BE FAST

otherwise good video. The Labyrinth games were a disaster from the second they were released. I never liked the Spinball games either (including the genesis version) I haven't played the others, but they hardly even qualify as real Sonic games imo anyway...
