It is a beautiful blend of Chinese values and Canadian culture: close ties in Chinese family and deeply rooted hockey culture. The music is quite touchy too.
I love this commercial, but I also feel like it's a borderline propaganda film. On the one hand, it's enjoyable and high quality and very sentimental. On the other hand, it taps into a patriotic and nationalistic myth. Either way though, it sure sells coffee.

Also, Tim Hortons' Children foundation has been helping with children's athletic activities since spring of 1974 between the ages of 9 and 12. Some of the money in franchises is used to support children in sports and recreation. Every year they help at least 13,000 children in Canada who their parents can't afford to send their kids to activities like hockey, swimming, camping etc.
I love this commercial. It's about kindness. He still let him play hockey but he wanted him to do well in school too, maybe he was getting low grades and needed to study more. he cares his son and his grandson. Also, Tim Horton's is for everyone of every class, low medium and high wages. It's because of their prices that they're still doing well in the economy, everyone can afford to buy one, it's pocket change.

I love Tim Hortons, I like what joeb0 says below... "Timmys" is for everyone, I don't think you can have a more responsible respectable Canadian Company. I also like how this commercial shows the side of Canadian Chinese/Asian side of life, which is different from a typical western Canadian upbringing.

@cuihao Tim Horton's is based out of Oakville Ontario. Didn't realize that Oakville is not in Canada.

Also, Tim Hortons' Children foundation has been helping with children's athletic activities since spring of 1974 between the ages of 9 and 12. Some of the money in franchises is used to support children in sports and recreation. Every year they help at least 13,000 children in Canada who their parents can't afford to send their kids to activities like hockey, swimming, camping etc.

I love this commercial. It's about kindness. He still let him play hockey but he wanted him to do well in school too, maybe he was getting low grades and needed to study more. he cares his son and his grandson. Also, Tim Horton's is for everyone of every class, low medium and high wages. It's because of their prices that they're still doing well in the economy, everyone can afford to buy one, it's pocket change.
