@Shiraborough The US version of Ace Combat 3, maybe. But the Japanese version is incredible with about 70 missions and a more in depth story than any of the ace combat games that followed it.

@juxhin000 Yeah it had futuristic planes. I guess if you don't like science fiction or anything like that then you wouldn't like AC3. But I think even if you didn't like science fiction the excellent story offsets it. So long as you have the Project Nemo translation files, of course. Otherwise you'd need to speak japanese.

And i question myself.... why the fuck developers these days don't do great soundtracks for games lake this.

Sega Rally, Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter, Ridge Racer, Air Combat, Ace Combat, Soul Edge, Tekken etc...

PS1 and Saturn have amazing soundtracks in the games. Videogames these days are powerfull, but developers care only with graphics that music is put in a minor level of importance.

@SenseiRaisen Most cancerous ZOE was the one with the F-22 in the level with the dam and the powerplants that you had not to destroy. The level was hard in its own right but this fucker having a plane that was far superior to yours and most importantly stealth was a pain in the ass (literally, always popping up on my six).

Ah there was another mission aswell with this tune. it was durring this conflict fighting the occupied government. i flew the MIG 29, fast great jet. our mission was to escort the bombers that were taking heavy fire from ground targets and air targets. we shot down the holded of enemy fighters and ground targets, as i watched the ground..all in flames i began to think we used indiscriminate bombing but wars have no mercy these days. in the end mission, complete

ah i remember doing this mission. it was years ago but i kinda remember. i flew the A6. In real life woulda been the F15E. so anyway there were many parts to it. i flew at low altitude destorying helicopters, my wingwan provided cover as we bombarded the enemy ground targets on the docks, ships, anti aircraft fire. then the main target was a aircraft carrier. i tell ya, it wasent easy but we won and the aircraft carrier was sunk. Mission complete

My favorite track in the game.

For me, Sledgehammer is the only GOOD escort mission in video game history.

Mostly because you don't have to "wait up" for that fleet of B-1's to get their shit done. Truly an epic mission.
