@IntergalacticDouche The actor's name is Strother Martin, a venerable character actor of stage & screen. Strother and Paul Newman were good friends, btw. If we had been privileged to see the whole scene as was filmed; Newman related later that it took more than 20 takes to film it. Strother would break out into his tantrum; and the ensemble would bust out laughing...ruining the scene. Finally, they got it right, fulminating into the classic film it is today. Peace.
