@ole9898 The whole idea of this movie sucks. Why the fudge would any sane person want to raise other people's kids while their biological parents are still alive or known? Simply don't get with people with baggage. (Baggage being kids and/or exwife). Used cars are a good idea, but used spouses? Oh please.

@michaelcookdesign Oh really? For your information, love does not exist. Love is an illusion that is only temporary. Proof is the high divorce rate. What does exist are the bills you have to pay to raise kids, whether they are yours or not.

Love is a feeling caused by natural chemicals, no different then crack highs caused by crack chemicals. The point is that human beings are nothing more than very complicated biochemical robots that respond to chemicals in their bodies.

@nobleheight i know this is an old conversation but you know i have to put my input. my cousins mom didnt want her so my mother and i took her in and adopted her. its not baggage. its love. her mom was known. her mom was alive. but simply did not want her. we wanted her in this family so we took her in. noone deserves to be unwanted by their parents but sometimes it happens. so if their parents give up their rights someone has to take them in weather it be family or foster homes.

@nobleheight You can't help who you fall in love with. Julia Roberts' character in this film happens to fall in love with a man who has two children and a controlling ex-wife. She must REALLY love him too, because for the first 2/3 of the film, the ex and the daughter put her through constant hell.
