  • Shit I own 6 9mm luger pistols, come to america my friend!

  • whats with all the american hate here? you jelly?

  • How did u get the firearm licence for this type of firearm

  • @MrMahyem Simply apply for a .308/7.62 rifle for target shooting, you can then buy any bolt action rifle in that calibre i.e. AR10, SVD Dragunov etc.

  • @dansubaru is this legal? how come you can have a box mag attached i though they were not allowed?

  • @TheJaaysog This is in the UK where magazines of any capacity are ok.

  • The laws are stupid. People smuggle weapons across very easily using small aircraft and boats. I've seen quite a few non-UK-legal weapons in my time. There's always someone local that knows how to get them. (Not that I've ever done so.)

  • @sockschappercat what knid of gun have you seen?

  • @traceradam I once knew a guy with an old CZ75 - still working perfectly - which he bought off some Jamaican, and a squaddie was arrested near me for smuggling L85s out of his base and selling them off.

  • @sockschappercat A cz75 is a handgun witch is was legal in the 80s so there's a big chance that certain people did not hand there guns in and sold them and my friend is in the army and they get searched evrytime they leave because as you might know iraq and Afghanistan is the highest producer of opium in the world so its common sense plus if gangs did get an l85 they wouldn't have very good luck finding the ammunition for it

  • @traceradam The rifles were smuggled out through a fence in a wooded area in the base he was stationed in. The base staff got suspicious of missing rifles and started patrolling the perimeter fence. The guy was stupid enough to carry on while they were doing so, and was caught.

  • why is it american's are so gun ho. with their spray an lets pray we get a bullet at the bully an then the brits come along an say this is how its done (bang bang bang) all hit the bully poor american's that can hit nowt

  • Yeah, look at those dumb Brits who can go a whole 10 years without a high school massacre or shooting rampage. The impotent fools! Compare that with how armed Americans successfully defended themselves at Ruby Ridge and Waco. No, wait a minute...

  • @beastatlay yeah and unarmed brits would fare so much better

  • @beastatlay You make good points, but in the defense of us Americans: freedom's like riding a motorcycle. It's risky, but it's just so awesome!

  • @beastatlay We have 4 times the population so of course we are going to have 4 times the crime, you cant compare the two.

  • @pac6010 If you actualy look at the crime rate, ENGLAND has the higher crime rate!

  • @isamtator I would want to see those actual figures from a credible source, I can't believe a county with 1/4 the population could have higher crime rates, but I guess anything is possible. That would be pretty pathetic for England if that was true though. If it is I guess they really dont deserve to own guns, or talk shit about America, ever, for anything lol.

  • @pac6010, You can look them up on Google, The NRA, put the number's out there. If you take the America's Crime rate, take one fourth of that number and compare that number to England's! It's much Higher. America has a larger Populous, and a lot more larger cities, so it is bound to be higher! Our crime rate has dropped by a landslide in the last few years. It is because a lot more, people are not choosing to be sheople, and allow for the criminal's to make them live in fear!

  • @pac6010 England's has no right to sit and judge us, they have just as many "gehto's", and since the gun ban's of 1987, and I believe 93 the crime rate had risen x4 times the previous years, and has not fallen. The People are afraid to defend themselves, for fear of charge's being levied upon them. Guns don't kill people, criminal's with guns kill people, and if you take them away, they will find other mean to fill the role the gun played. They will use hands, feet, knife's, stick's etc!

  • @isamtator the uk has the lowest firearm crime rate in the world... somehow thats a bad thing?

  • @isamtator it has shit knife crime sure but ive only ever seen 6 guns in my life... 5 were shotguns, and the other one a airport security police officer was carrying...

  • @beastatlay At least we don't have wide spread riots across our major metropolitan areas...

  • poor brits. all of the idots in the government taking away their freedom. free men own guns, slaves dont.

  • @poofy917 Yes we have unfair gun laws but if you look over the bigger picture Americans have less freedom than we do. Look at your laws and compare them...I feel sorry for you lot

  • @poofy917 Oh yes. Dereck Bird, Raoul Moat, the Real IRA... free men, all of them!

  • S L R stands for Self Loading Rifle this is bolt action

  • At least you guys can still shoot. It's better than NOT HAVING any firearms at all. Hell I don't even have a FAL. Good show.

  • Hmm yanks talkin allot of shit how they are free and can own any gun etc.. yet during Hurricane Katrina the police took their guns off them! Go figure!

  • @webleybulldog455 LMFAO!!!!!!!! Best comment ive read yet

  • You have to laugh at Americans, they beat there chest, and claim to be big proud free men, just because they are allowed to own better guns, yet meekly submit to putting themselves, their wives and their kids though naked body scanners at airports.......

  • @whenthestormbrakes I won't. I will not fly as long as the TSA is pulling this shit, and now they are bring it to the bus terminals, not that I need public transportation, I have a car. Also, we don't just own them, we carry them. I carry a handgun concealed every day, and I can walk down the street with my M4 slung, and not only is it perfectly legal in the city of several million live in, I don't even need a permit to do it.

  • @turdferguson9725 well thats democracy for u isnt it ..just saying

  • @ozzy0174 I don't live in a democracy. I live in a republic.

I will not submit myself to being searched without probable cause, and certainly not molested by some TSA creeper.

I don't even really ever leave the great state of Arizona, so no need to fly.

  • where did you buy this from? Im after one

  • @BAMBI243 It was from guntrader.co.uk but if you want one now try Bradley Arms as he has several for sale

  • Would love one of these

  • How did you manage to ship it in to the uk did it have the gas piston removed for uk law

  • @petersb2010

If a gun was ever in a configuration considered to be 'Section 5' under current UK law, it will always be S5, irrespective of current configuration. Therefore straight-pull rifles based on autoloading desings -- FALs, AKs, ARs, AUGs -- are all stratch-built as straight-pulls. Due to the small market for these guns therefore, most are built in the UK.

  • How did you manage to ship it in did they remove the gas piston to make it straight pull to make it conform uk law standards

  • nice vid man

i want to get the mp5k as a side arm and i want a sniper

but alot of people tell me to get the the fn fal

what do you think ,if i modify it will it be a perfict sniper ??

  • @GSSRT8 It can be a very very nice one if you get a scope and such :D

  • @GSSRT8

The FAL design is not generally considered to be a very precise rifle.

  • What the fuck? Straight pull? It's not a fucking bolt action!

  • It is a bolt action - welcome to the UK and our stupid firearm laws !!

  • Grrrr... Recently the NZ police have made it a lot harder to own drugunov style stocks because they think it makes any semi auto an assault rifle... But they left thumb hole stocks as they are.

But making semi autos bolt actions just seems TOO strict... Isn't it a little weird that the UK has such high gun crime but strict gun control? Anyone would realise it's not legal gun owners doing the crime, anyway, so restricting their weapons so much wont change a thing, but oh well...

  • Oh don't get me started. It's a tired old record on the gun-control freaks hammering on about us.

Don't worry, I have a feeling that we'll have our day when the gun rights of the UK citizen are given back to the people.

  • nice, where did you get that rfile from please ?

  • guntrader, but BradleyArms has a few in stock, expect to pay £2K+

  • thanks mate, is this imbel ?

  • Nope, Imbel are the most common but this is a DSA SA58 from the US

  • ok mate many thanks, did you add the scope ?

  • yes, it came with a weaver rail top cover so we dug out a cheap scope just to test accuracy, was not to bad but was outshot by our AR15's

  • cool, well thanks for your help, I'm in to all old stuff, but i do have a sweet spot for these.

  • dont suppose you want to sell it do you lol ?

  • Sorry but it was part exchanged for an AR15 last year.

  • Do you think the AR15 is a better weapon to own than the Fn Fal?

  • @dansubaru Get yourself a SUIT scope!

  • O que ele está fazendo com o ferrolho? What he makes with the bolt? Is a bolt-action??? =S

  • you poor bastard

  • poor Brits and their bolt action/semi autos....lol

  • @DuckDitch Didn't do us no harm in the Falklands!

  • @DuckDitch - At least they have that, we can't even have that much down here in Australia !!!!! All cut up and melted down .......

  • @ausglocker That is very sad. Move to America.. We can own rifles and pistols. We can even own fully auto rifles in most states after we pay the tax.. It's a fundamental right as an American to bear arms.. I really feel for you Brits and Aussies..

  • @DuckDitch we get to have 'assault' style straight pull rifles e.g. Steyr AUG :P

  • @DuckDitch We dont go for the "Spray & Pray" approach that you seem to favour

  • @scottishbadboy1 find "4 rifles basra contact "red 10"

  • @DuckDitch

Better than no semis at all (Australia) woudn't you say?

  • @DuckDitch actually the l1a1 wasnt bolt acton he just had his gas regulator set to full off

  • @DuckDitch why are you even here, you asshole? go fuck off to McDonalds or something, we don't want you stalking up our videos.

  • @DuckDitch I wouldn't feel poor having to use a SLR, It's a monster of a gun, if you get hit by it you won't be walking away. If you get hit by the 556 of the M4 you can usually fight on.

  • Are they easy to find?

  • Pretty rare in the UK but they do crop up from time to time

  • my European economics are not up to par so how much is 500 pounds in the us

  • @pfcsusczynski -Right now, $724 US

  • Right before I saw the straight pull set up and where this was shot I was saying to myself "man he must be using crap ammo." Then I was like "Oh gotcha."

  • What range is that at Bisley?

  • Short Siberia

  • Comment removed

  • Hi, nice vid. I used to have an L1A1 up until 1989, but with the change in the law I had it deactivated. I'm interested in what has been done to make it legal? I would guess that there is no gas port and piston mechanism? other than that I don't know. Cheers, Kniferest..

  • These are manufactured as straight pull (i.e. bolt action) as you can't convert a semi legally. So no gas port etc etc.

  • why does bisley always look freezing cold? more importantly why is it always freezing cold?

  • The FAL was not meant to be a straight-pull rifle. When are you guys going to take back your freedom?

  • good question, but, we havnt had any mass shootings in a long time, unfortunatly this proves their point of restricting weapons in the first palce

  • Mass shootings are a media created phenomenon. They happen very rarely and count for very little in the grand scheme of things. Your government used the Dunblane Massacre as an excuse to take honest citizens' firearms. Statistics show the the UK has a much higher crime rate than the US and even South Africa. Gun control is not about reducing crime, it's about keeping honest citizens in check. Do you know why we have the 2nd Amendment in the US?

  • There was mass public support for the ban, the 2nd amendment is from a time of cow boys and indians, a time where it was needed, that was along time ago, things change. show me these statistics, then show me the murder rates, and then show me how many of those where with firearms, then compare it to the uk. we are not talking about petty crime in general, we are talking about shootings, who has more? who has more per capita? you are talking rubbish

  • The 2nd Amendment has NOTHING to do with "cow boys and indians". It is designed to protect the civilian population from a tyrannical government (hmm, kinda like YOURS) by allowing them to start a revolution.

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson

The UK has FOUR TIMES more violent crime per capita than the US. Check your inbox.

  • so, if that was the reason for you keeping firearms, why hasnt it worked?

  • It works as a deterrent, too.

  • % of break-ins in the US while the owner is at home is certainly lower, just means they wait till they are out or take a gun themselves, the easy way to look at is who has more shootings per % of the population

  • That is not an accurate method of recording crime. Of course there will be more shootings in a society with guns, because they incorporate criminals shot by police and homeowners into those statistics as well, not to mention suicides and gang violence (between rival gangs).

The amount of innocent people killed by crime is relatively low. Switzerland is also a gun-friendly society and their crime is low.

Despite what the New World Media says, crime is a human problem, not a gun problem.

  • yeh i fully agree with that. looking at britain as the most violent country in europe what do you think it would be like if guns were available?

  • It would get less violent overall, because people would be able to defend themselves. There's actually a substancial movement in the UK to get gun rights back.

    watch?v=0ZK61tV2nQQ&feature=channel_page

Believe me, not everyone in America can just go in to a store and buy a gun. There's FBI criminal background checks involved.

"Nothing wrong with a little shooting, as long as the right people get shot."

  • im not so sure myself. didnt the virgina tech shooter manage to get guns through a store and get around the checks? dont get me wrong i love shooting as much as the next person, i have two rifles myself. firearms are not totally illegal here. its too easy to squeeze a trigger, i just cant see that owning more weapons would reduce violence rates, just means more people would end up getting shot

  • He had people buy the guns for him, which is actually illegal. The system isn't perfect, there will always be crime but overall it's much better than disarming honest citizens.

  • in a perfect america not everyone can just go buy a gun.. it's always easier to steal a gun. why do you think pawn shops have those bars on the windows ?

i love the quote you have here.. and i agree.. nothing wrong with it , and in my humble opinion it needs to happen a little more often.. " for evil to flourish good people must do nothing "

  • True, but we won't every be able to stop crime 100%, we can only reduce it.

  • @sepiasilence - If the right people got the guns, leaned up quickly, is what it would be !!!

  • Just stumbled onto this video and saw your comment...

Why is it Euros are so worried about guns in the USA?

  • why are yanks so worried about oil and weapons in every country on the planet?

  • We're not, psst ARAMCO is a British Company...

  • ARAMCO bit directed at me aswell? :S and how can you say you're not when other countries WMDs and oil reserves are all americas elite focus on, and go into other countries on a regular basis for these very reasons

  • Your country is just as equally focused on oil and what not, still don't understand why you have a boner over our firearm use in the USA.

Don't like it, don't come here, that simple.

  • i know it is, didnt say we wernt, just saying, it works both ways, you do the same to countless other countries so why bitch when people do it to you. I do like it, i love shooting, just saying it seems to have worked here so why not there

  • Your murder rate would be through the roof if you had 20 million illegal aliens running your streets, we are actually doing quite well vs crime.

The ONLY places where crime is just running nuts in the USA are all places that have insane gun control laws.

One of my friends is a retired inspector from the UK, he said your country is far from violent crime being gone. It is quite the opposite actually.

Remember, the data is crewed wtih, they include suicides in our gun deaths data.

  • Well, it seems I can't send you the link. Google "The most violent country in Europe: Britain is also worse than South Africa and U.S." and click the Dailymail UK one. (the first one)

  • @Otacon237

Probably not before Obama takes yours away.

  • @Katashtrophie Too true.

  • @Otacon237 never, its been well and truely raped and shat upon by mollycoddeling polititians

  • @Otacon237 Believe me I want my freedom too.

  • @O1Chris02 I have a feeling you guys might just get it back. Not that I can speak for what's going in the UK, but I've heard the Conservative Party is making a regaining popularity after the recent economic crisis.

  • @Otacon237 Yeah, the conservatives are in support of a sort of "UK Second Amendment" if you know what I mean, but everyone here is so anti-firearm I don't think semis will ever come back :(

  • @O1Chris02 I disagree, when something happens it tends to be the immediate area that have a hoo hah and the government ban things to appease. I think if we grouped together and lobbied that things could be made more lenient. The biggest thing in the UK law isn't the no semi-auto its the fact that we have to name purposes and do nothing else with them and we have to name places and shoot nowhere else with them without grovelling

  • @Otacon237 when 90% of the country stops thinking that we are evil maniacs.

  • @thenoobcannon What, gun owners?

  • @Otacon237 they never will

  • sound of this slr gun isloud..power ful hit

  • I was certain you couldn't have anything like this in the U.K. Come to America if it gets too hot there, you'll be more than welcome. Nice rifle btw.

  • I used this for 6 years whilst in the Army and was superceded by the SA80............no comparison. The SLR was an excellant weapon and It helped me obtain my Marksman's badge!!

  • Excellent weapon.

  • Move to the United States. All British rifleman are more than welcome to come here.

  • Would love to come to the States and use the ranges.

Any well paid jobs in security there?

  • why do you call a slr a straight pull???

Do you have to cycle yourself everytime or is the gassetting blocked?

    I love this rifle.

Used it for 5 years in the army and now i own one myself.

  • In the UK we can't have semi auto full bore rifles, they have to be straight pull so yes the gas ports are blocked. Still cool to shoot.

  • damn, that suck's.take the train to belgium and start shooting on our side.

    Good luke mate

  • Wait, your gov't lets you have these things in Belgium? Semi-automatic? Cool if it's true.

  • Yup they do.

If you got all the paperwork done that is.

  • Can civilians shoot on the ranges in Belgium?

  • yes they can.

BUT, recently there is a ban on certain calibers, what make no sence cause a 7.62*51 is banned and a .308 is ok....??

I shoot on a 'privated' club.

  • So could a person come to Belgium and use someone elses weapon on a range ?

All civilian use of weapons is banned in this country.

  • Same bullet and primer. That's just stupid.

  • A UK gun owner, your a dieing breed

  • Damn, a UK'er owning a firearm. That's hardcore! You got respect here.

  • Nice rifle. Can you tell me who has them for sale in the UK?

  • Hi, no new ones left (unless Sabre Defence have one still tucked away) so keep your eye on guntrader and expect to pay £600+ for second hand.

  • 7.62mm ammo excellent rifle

  • U r right pointash123456789. They are both reliable, the SLR was well balanced and in a carbine or paratrooper configuration was a great battle rifle. The G3 kicks like a bastard, due to its roller locked action. I prefer the SLR, carried 1 for years in the Army.

  • somebody can tell me about this weapon I know that use ammo .308 but is a semi-automatic or automatic rifle , is similar to the H&K G3?? and could ve better in accuracy and hanging than the G3???

  • This model is straight pull NOT semi or full auto. In the West FAL's primary competitor was the German Heckler & Koch G3.

  • The wepon was originoal manafactured in Belgum as the FAL it was orininaly fulley automatic and fired the 7.62mm nato round

The desing of the FAL was takin up by the british in the 1980s with some modifications the main one being making it semi auto.

its cheap to make and quite reliable and accurate however it is long and heavy, therefore its characteristics are more or less the same as the german G3 witch was used by the german army at that time however soem say the SLR was more reliable.

  • Think you'll find the design was used for the SLR in the mid 50's and introduced into the British Army in the mid 60's

  • yup thank the new world order and world wide ban on all guns eventually here in Canada when the Canadian Army got rid of the fn c1a1 they were not allowed to be sold to even collectors but for some reason you can have a m-14 ?

  • Probably because it's an old rifle, but a rifle's a rifle at the end of the day.Perhaps they were all on drugs, when they wrote these stupid, dumbass laws.

  • Apparently it is illegal to carry any form of defensive weapon. Only the criminals are armed.Congrat's to the New World Order!

  • Well at lest you can still own then as straight pull rifles in the UK.

Here in Australia we couldn't even do that, not even deactivate them to non firing.

I know because I to hand in mine, which i used for Service Shooting.

  • Comment removed

  • Blame yourself. An armed man is free. Did they ask for your balls, too?

  • How can I blame myself, it was your G W Bush's good friend, our PM Johnny Howard, who had them banned.

I'm still have and use bolt action arms.

You make do with what you've got and don't whinge about what you could've, would've, should've.

  • @Nnatere

'An armed man is free' what about a soldier in the North Korean army....

  • this is what the australian army used to use before the F88 steyr

  • ohhh dan i love "your" fal mabey you should post some vids of your own guns!

  • Well sucks you guys can't own a real semi auto version over there. But either way they're great guns.

  • We did up up until 1989,but they were banned as a looney called Micheal Ryan, murdered 18 people with his pet AK47 and M1 Carbine.Still there's no point in bans as they are incapable of preventing any massacre. You at least are still in the land of the free.

  • I was going to go to the short siberia for my first visit but now I have been to the open day and shot at 300 and 1000yds I know that I'm gona shoot those distances again with my .303. 100-200yds is too short .

  • what range are you on as ive just joined the nra at bisley and like the look of this bench shooting. thanks for sharing the vid aswell...great rifle

  • It's Short Sibera which has 100m & 200m firing points both prone and off the bench. You can use the targets provided by the NRA or stick several paper targets up in the target frame and spend the day working on your accuracy.

  • I did two comps there back in the 80s for the regiment I was attached to. SLR and 9mm, came about 45th in the SLR and 11th in the 9mm. Was up against Ghurkas, Infantry, Commandos and all other arms. Didn't do too bad concidering I was a mechanic in the REME!! LOL.

  • kinda really sucks that were no even allowed semi auto center fire rifles in the UK, how much you pay for your SLR?

  • Rifle was £500, no CF semis is a pain but at least we still have rifles in the UK as our government is hell bent on banning anything for no reason.

  • ye i just hope to God they don't ban rifles completely before I'm old enough to buy one
