  • Plus Carrie was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for writing and singing There's a Place for Us for the movie Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

  • actually Carrie has had 13 #1 singles on country radio - six of those she wrote - Temporary Home(one of my favorites), Last Name, So Small, All American Girl, Undo It, Cowboy Casanova, far more interesting songs than alot of country out there - Carrie has had more Billboard country #1's than any country female in the last five years and has been the most played female on country radio for four of those years

  • I feel a bit sad that the crowd didn't go crazy when Tony started singing... I guess they're a group of young ppl, but still :-(

  • No podría decidir cuál de los 4 tiene mejor voz ;D

  • Carrie you goooooooooo girl...love it ^^

  • Carrie shows what great range she has...She can sing anything and would rule whatever format she sang but stays true to her roots and love for country music...

  • @HideTheTruthInside ,I believe Tony Bennett and Josh Groban know what powerful vocal and vocal range Carrie possess. I don't know if Michael Buble knew it until then that Carrie possess that kind of vocal power. Oprah already knows about Carrie's power. And it is true, Tony admires Carrie for staying true to her country roots. If Carrie wanted to go into pop, I think she would do abolutely splendid in the genre.

  • @HideTheTruthInside

Seriously? She is an overrated singer and performer who can only do the country/pop route (she is far from country and more towards pop). It isn't that she is staying true but is limited to what she can do

  • @Sommelier97 You seriously need to get your ears cleaned out. Carrie can sing any genre and has proven it and if you think she is overrated you really need to listen to the people she sings with. Everyone that does sing with her always says she is amazing. Brad, Dolly, Loretta, Tony to name a few.

  • @HideTheTruthInside

    She can sing Opera?

    She can sing scat?

She sings bubble gum pop/country songs that teeny boppers eat up and think it is great singing.

She's well marketed but sub-par as a country singer. She's a decent looking blonde haired girl and gets a lot of press from magazines. Her songs are utter tripe.

  • @Sommelier97 You are an ass!!! Carrie has never sang a song that hasn't been top-grade. She is better live than she is recorded. Any cover she has ever done is as good or better than the original. If you want to hear someone sing a song that blows you away, listen to anything Carrie sings. Try "How Great Thou Art" from the Girls Night Out televised special with Vince Gill, or her "So Small" at the 2007 Cma's...The only thing I see here that is tripe is you as you are deaf and dumb!!!

  • @Sommelier97 You have no idea what you are talking about. All of the most respected names in Country music laud Carrie for not only her incredible vocals but for the way she has pushed Country music so much. Brad Paisley says she is the finest singer in any format. It's funny how you say she is sub-par as a country singer and her songs are utter tripe, seeing as how "Some Hearts" was voted the album of the decade for the 2000's in Country music.Your comments seem the only tripe here!!!

  • @Sommelier97 That's your opinion - one persons, yours - the key here is the limitations that you placed on Carrie is from your own mind and ears - Carrie has been asked to record duets and to perform on various shows because of her vocal versatility, Professional singers recognize how amazing her vocal ability is - "Elvis" on his Christmas duets album, Loretta Lynn, Randy Travis, now Tony Bennett and he uses it for the lead off song for his album debut -he knows his music and singers

  • @fiddleDdee

Link to where these people said how amazing her vocal ability is.

  • @Sommelier97 The fact that Tony Bennett has Carrie on his Duets 11 album out this week says more to me than any opinion of yours - The fact that Smokey Robinson took the time to go to Nashville to help honor Carrie at CMT Artist of the Year and Carrie recently returned the favor when Smokey won the Ella award - Carrie sang one of his songs and he sang "My Girl" to her - many country singers like Randy Travis and Brad Paisley have said she has amazing vocal ability

  • Love hearing a song like this with all these esteemed singers in their own styles.

  • hell ya

  • those young singers can learn a thing or two from Tony Bennett about honest unadored pure singing without ptetense, they are all still far too much busy displaying the pyrotechnics of their voice, the song is the thing and the words...they will get it some day...but they will never get it like Tony gets it or someone like rosemary Clooney got it ..

  • @gamerguy1991 your insane

  • @StewartDoran That was my mom she hijacked my iphone and dont insult my mother i will find you.

  • Carrie was amazing - good lord 1:16 is top notch - but overall great performance from all

  • Love the song.. in my opinion Michael Buble and Tony are the only ones in the group who should be singing the song

  • carrie who ??? she can't hold a candle to these performers. ! She's way out of her league.

    NUFF SAID !

  • i like this song

  • haha buble's reaction when carrie hits that note. i wasn't expecting it either.. great performance by all.

  • this is awesome!

  • Aww, Josh was amazing...like always.

  • lolz.... i want Tony to be my grandpa =) hhahaha

  • probably the cutest old guy ever! besides my grandpa:) and dang Tony can sing!

    Carrie is amazing!

  • when and where was this?

  • This was on Oprah's "Whats in your Ipod" show in 2006.

  • Carrie and Tony sounded amazing..:)

  • this was one of the best performances I've ever seen or heard - they were all superb especially those singing out of their usual genre - like Grosh and Underwood - but Buble and Bennett are masters of this type of music.

  • i think tony bennett trumped them all

  • Neat. I like Michael Buble and Josh Groban. Tony Bennett is a cool guy. Who was the girl? She's pretty and has a nice voice.

  • OMG! Are You Serious its Carrie Underwood!!!!

  • I don't think that country is really big outside of the North America...so it doesn't surprise me that people wouldn't know her around the world.

  • I'd never heard of her before. I don't keep up to date on music and singers.

  • Timeless

  • o_O but why? ;_; that would make me sad.

  • May I ask you a question? Did you notice, who voice the highest and without strain, Carrie and you say Carrie was ok, wow.

  • Carrie is a girl! Of course her voice would hit the highest note. And for the record, that is not a particularly difficult high note to hit, especially for a girl. She even used her falsetto to hit it, so that makes it far less of a challenge for any girl singer.

  • oh get over yourself this note is not difficult for carrie at all. in live concerts she hits notes with chest voice and no strain to at least e.

  • What's going here, saying she can get the high note, just because she's a girl, that's has nothing to do with it, I know the only female in this video, my point is, if they were all female, Carrie would still the highest vocals of anybody, that's my point, there's no falsetto with Carrie.

  • Why would I compare to other female singers who are not in this video? My original comment was about the performances of the singers who are actually IN the video. It would be silly to comment about other singers who are not-participating. As for Carrie would have the highest vocals of anybody, that's exaggerrating. There are other female singers who have wider chest range than Carrie. There's LaBelle, Regine Velasquez and even young Charice who have better chest register than Carrie.

  • I think you are prejudice toward Carrie, just because she is only lady in this bunch. High notes aside, I wish this four would sang together, they would have been a beautiful sound. All of them, sound so smooth.

  • Did I say Carrie was bad? I just said she was OK in this video. I'm just not a fan of her voice. Her tone is not my cup of tea. Too country, and that's not my style of music. And I don't like hearing her type of voice in this kind of song. Just because I'm not raving about her does not make me prejudiced or a hater. There are others here who say that they don't like Groban's voice for this song, too. Do you see Grobanites getting all defensive and disputing those who made the critique? No.

  • I just wanted to comment that you don't "use your falsetto". You can SING IN Falsetto, but you cant USE it. I saw this Oprah the day it aired. Carrie did great as did everyone else. Also...not every female singer can sing high like that. She has range. That's all.

  • Tony is so DARN CUTE!! he reminds me of my grandpa!!:):D.

    But grandpa can't sing:)

I love Carrie's part as well, I could do without the other two.

  • OH wow. I love them all. Fantastic! Tony brings the old style class and magic, Michael brings the sexy swing, Josh brings that amazingly powerful voice, and Carrie complements them all so well.

  • Absolutely amazing! Would love to see the whole show!

  • I love Josh to pieces. GO JOSH!

  • These are four of my favorite singers. Wow! A classic (Tony), a jazz hip-cat (Mike) Soul and power (Josh, and an up beat country diva (Carrie)

    a classic moment here!

  • ok. so im 20 years old. and tony bennett is my idol. he is the only one left of his kind. yeah we have singers now that are really talented like carrie underwood and celine..but tony is an original..i cnat help but smile when he is singing. he has passion for music and loves what he does nad you can feel it and see it when he performs..i hope to one day leave just a percentage of a mark as he has in the music world =]

  • Im 15 & couldnt agree with u more.Guys like Tony r just timeless, but these days people have to b in the right frame of mind 2 appreciate things like an artists sheer love of what they do(most people dont think this way).I really do think that this group here represents some of the finest young talent out their right now,in all of their respective genres,& I think its fair 2 say that what makes them so good is exactly what made Tony so great-genuine passion.Reply back your thoughts if you wish :)

  • Is there anyone who can make a download of this great performance? Oprah said, before they started singing, that it would not be available on a CD or as a download, so surely none of them would object if someone with the skill did so unofficially.

  • Try Zamzar

  • i love michael n carrie!!!!!

    their voice r amazing!

lol michael was shocked abt Carrie's high note between 01:38 to 01:41..look at michael lol!

    hes cute!Carrie is amazing!

  • How classy of buble not to take the legend's thunder. A genteleman and a crooner in his own right. Go Michael Buble! You are truly one of a rare breed.

  • he couldnt anyway, he isnt all that.

  • Cool

  • I usually hate people doing Stevie covers but Carrie made this one decent. This CLEARLY shows the girl can sing anything.

  • All of them were diffrent and they each played to their audiences and genre's very well but at the same time they blended perfectly

  • They were all so good, but i'm always impressed with how Carrie can sing any genre!! She's amazing!

  • NOBODY can sing this like Tony and he proved it on this one. Hats off to Buble and the others for respecting Tony enough to stop and let him finish this song. I respect them all. Hats off! All have special voices and so much to give the business.

  • I think he was pretty good in the 60's. But he's way passed his prime and he sounds like he's straining it. Sinatra sounded a lot better at this age. But that's just my opinion. :)

  • beautiful Josh is sooooo handsome.

  • He's gorgeous! I don't know how Carrie can stand by him and not like, die.

  • Josh has a beautiful voice! *smiles at him* There must be something wrong with that woman then! *laughs*

  • wen michael sings,the song sounds pre-recorded!!

  • This is a great video, and with a lot of talent on that floor.

  • bubble looked stunned when carrie underwood hit that high note. i was stunned to. didnt know she had that kind of range

  • That man deserves all the praise in the world, hes awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Tony Bennett has many gold and platinum albums and CDs and 10 Grammys. He is one of the ones that the younger singers can only hope to match his longevity. He is 81 now and still cranking the songs out with power. Fairly remarkable I say.

  • Oprah reran this show on Christmas Eve

  • No words for Tony Bennett. He is over 80 and sings to my ear pretty much the same as he has sung throughout the years -- legendary vocal artist who set the style for others.

  • wait, in this video he's over 80? he looks and sounds so much younger!!

  • I agree with alaric! They each have their unique, special voices to offer :)

  • All the guys are amazing!

  • she should really try to do more songs like this, her enterence into the song is amazing, and she's amazing throughout the entire song...

  • Tony is a legend and even though his voice isn't what it was 20 years ago he still sounds amazing.

Josh is simply exquisite in his singing.

Carrie had the best entrance and she is a fantastic singer..In fact she is the only country singer that i really like, and Michael is just as amazing as the rest of them.. thats an all-star cast they had on that stage..

  • You're all cracked! They were each GREAT..each different talents...each UNIQUE and worth everysecond of listening. The legend, the crooner, the country belle, and the opera boy. Love em all.

  • No offense to all the Carrie Underwood fans out there, but with such amazing singers like Josh Groban and Michael Buble and with a huge legend like Tony Bennett, I personally think they should have had someone who was more seasoned or had been in the business longer. I will admit that she did do very well, but I still stand by my opinion.

  • more seasoned?? sorry to tell you but josh and michael haven't been in the business that long maybe longer then carrie but still.. and she has won more awards then both of them and i'm sure will sell more albums if she hasn't already so who cares what you think

  • and plus is was a grammy nominee show and carrie was a grammy nominee

  • not true josh has more than her by far

  • Carrie has won 2 Grammy's , Josh has not won any yet but has been nominated and I'm sure will win in the future - this show was actually Oprah's recommendation for what to put on your Ipod. Each singer had a section of the show where they sang their songs and had an interview with Oprah - great show!

  • personally i think tony, josh and carrie are the best singers (vocalists) here i am not that impressed with michael

  • is Michael mentally challenged (delayed a bit), I don't mean to be mean but does he have a problem?!

I'm not making fun--just curious because he really sounds and acts it.

  • no, that's just the way he is...he does act like he's got ADD though!!

  • Carrie was the best by far.

  • josh groban was the best one by far... hehehe

  • nope.

  • carrie did amazing! so did michael buble and actually josh groban suprised me hes really good...not a fan of tony tho - just me

    hot duet tho

  • I just LOVE this song !!!

  • carrie held her ground. great!

  • she sure did!

  • I agree, i love when sings the high note at 1:16 Michael just look at her! she can sing anything i swear!

  • i think they're all good especially josh groban =]

  • how can you not save this to your favorites?! so much classic talent in one place! luv luv luv carrie!

  • ITA

  • love Carrie n Michael Bublé!!

  • thank you DAVID FOSTER for discovering Josh Groban and Michael Buble...

  • CARRIE!

  • tony bennett, is just amazing! hats off to him!

  • Love Josh and Michael! Amazing!

  • God bless the recently departed Ron Miller who wrote this and many other amazing songs: "If I Could", "Yester-me, Yester-you, Yesterday" , "Touch me In The Morning", (with Michael Masser)"A Place In The Sun" and "Heaven Help Us All" among others...

  • That smile at the end by tony, really says it all

  • I love Carrie she is my all time favorite singer and so is Josh it sounds wonderful

  • I love Carrie, Celine, and Josh but not much on Micheal really. They sound so good!

  • i LOVE all of them . . . ..MICHAEL BUBLE MOST THOUGH!! i'm obsesed with him

  • Awesome.

  • They are all AWESOME,but kuddos to Mr.Tony Bennet

  • Love Michael Buble!

  • i love this song and i love carrie underwood xD

  • He's a swinging cat that swings into his 80s. I applaud you Mr. Bennett
