@zergerlater they come in disassembled box sets of plastic or resin, and yes, you have to glue them together and paint them. Course, you don't have to glue the entire model, many hobbyists magnetize some of the parts for interchangeability, and you could pay someone to paint them for you, but it is much more satisfying to take to the field of battle with an army that you built and painted yourself.

In my Opinion, I think the tau would win, because the Tyranids, MAY come in swarms, but the Tau Empire, They have EXTREMLY Good firepower, and I think they would keep the swarms of 'Nids at bay with there firepower!

1. Have your big guys up front.

2. Get as many people (aliens) to the Tau line as possible by having a huge unit stretched out to cover everyone.

3. Get some Venomthropes to give cover saves to you hordes.

4. Use Carnifexi to demolish one, side, so you can sweep from one side to the other, using your enemies soon to be corpses as cover.

5. Kick ass!

@LordKatzeify the big thing is called a Harridan (its a bio construct playable in apocolyspe games of 40k... pretty sure its a forge world model too) and its surrounded by gargoyles i believe.

Wow, I give the tau three turns....thats alot of dead nids, and those railguns should kill the heirophants, and the harridan rather easily. The barbed heirodule though....can be a problem to face. Its a dice magnet

Games like this look cool on the table but are a snore fest to play. No strategy. Just push stuff into each other. Need a table 2x the size for any kind of maneuverability. Unless this is just a photo shoot. Great looking armies.
