  • There uniforms were great and looked neat but the march was not the right one and looked awful. But they did there best....GOOD for them :)

  • Example of Canada using part time soldiers in place of full time soldiers because Canada is cheap.

This is the result both in parade and the field.

  • @MendingMedia I think what really killed it, was the placement of the bass drum and the starting beats coupled with the acoustics.

Also, Moneymusk isn't the best march to try and double past without lots of rehearsing.

"Keel Row" or "Road to the Isles" would probably have made it slightly easier.

  • Whose fucking idea was this?

    Monty Python's?

  • way to embarrass yourself AIRBORNE!!!

  • Being in the CF myself, I know this march is extremely difficult and if I were the RSM of this regiment, I would of had them rehearsing this for weeks. Especially when you have royalty at the event. Embarrassing.

  • this was really emberrasing! why can't out military have spot on drill?

  • Get in STEP! that's all I can say...

  • That is the worse display of drill i have ever seen in my entire life.

  • embarrasing imo

  • And if you pan to the right you'll see the beer tent, thus the reason for the double time.

All jokes aside thanks for sharing this, I never tire of seeing any aspect of our military in parade.

  • Looks like some of them are goin to faint ^_^

  • @Freepepsi42 No excuses.

  • What is also interesting is that the bugles sound "Advance" not the "Double."

  • The double march is Moneymusk. It had been the double march of the KRRC and RB; however on becoming Royal Green Jackets, the tune "The Road to the Isles" was more commonly played as the regimental double.

  • Now you all are very sharp lads, but, my good mate CPL Harry Miller (Ret) of QOR can double past backwards, on one leg.

  • Enjoyed watching the video. Good to see "The Rifle Regiment Ethos" still exists within the CAF. What is the name of The "Double March" being played?

Respect to our Canadian allies from a former RGJ Rifleman

    Celer et Audax

  • My dad was the Bugle Major of the Queen's Own Bugle band from 1939 to 1954 always liked it when they played the Regimental past the reviewing stand going by at the 140,it made my hair stand on end. He joined the regiment in 1924 and was so proud to have served with them, heard many a story about their adventures during peace and war. God bless them all.

  • @stupidlag U sure are and tough. My daddy was a qor. ww11

  • Damn we are awesome!!!

  • Huuuuuuaa!

P.s- I see what you mean now ahahaha. En Pace Paratus!
