It would be so nice if someone could make a soundpack of this jet and post in AVSIM. Somebody should do this. If I could, I would, but I don't know how to :P
you sound like an idiot... the engines on the dc-10 (jt9d's, cf6's, or the RB211's) were used on other aircrft too.. could be a boeing 757, 767 you name it...
FINALLY THE PERFECT AIRPLANE VIDEO OF FRONTIER AIRLINES! IN FRONT YOU GETTA HEAR THAT VIBRATING SOUND THE ENGINE MAKES. i usually fly frontier to Portland Oregon from Denver Colorado and back and i ALWAYS sit in seat 1A. so i get a good idea about engine power even though all the times i have gone only one flight did a full power take off
i took an united economey there and its was like 7pm.i had to take off at grand forks and land at minniapoles then i took northwest airlines to denver then to santa ana after that my ears hurted after the whole day and the drinks on northwest airlines thay rock
Short Runway, Orange County noise ordinance. Have to kill the engines shortly after take off as not to disturb the locals below. Full throttle again once out over the ocean.
Southwest Airlines cannot throttle above 95% or they are given a penalty for "overstressing" the engines. Usually a 737 can reach VR speed (the speed when an aircraft can lift off) at around 88% at Orange County airport.
at v1 and vr what if an engine fails and like the flaps arent lowered or break? and the landing i would suppose you have to touch down on target right that way you can get thrust reversers and spoilers up without wearing the breaks? btw on approach do you pitch 3 degrees nose down or 3 degrees nose up?
The weight of the airplane is limited so that at V1, if an engine fails, the plane will be able to continue to takeoff, rotate, and climb to the published MSA for that particular departure.
And on approach, the airplane maintains a descent rate of 3 degrees, and the "deck angle" (angle of the nose) is determined by the weight and cg of the airplane... although it is usually between 3 and 5 degrees nose up.
o okay and there is at least 5 degrees of flaps down (or more depending on wind and weight)and i will do about 10 degrees nose up but since its a citation x i can eather full power or alittle bit redused
thanks for posting...i fly in the simulator since i was 12 years old back in 1993, and i have flown so much in california in the simulator and it is soo cool to be seing the real thing..you took off runway 19R...awesome!!!
that was a short run! where were you headed to?

Memphis via Denver.

pilot didn't throttle down enough , too many decibels

whats so famous about this airport.i wanna travel next week from philly to L.A. is it better to take this airport or LAX
fejic 2 years ago
@fejic lets see...ummm. well the runway is only 5000 ft. long, and 767's fly in. that is crazy
flyboy6753 1 year ago
@flyboy6753 Nothing bigger than 757's fly in
JasonSchwerin 1 year ago
@JasonSchwerin ya. a300's do for fedex
flyboy6753 1 year ago
@flyboy6753 well every once in a while lol. I havn't seen one there yet. Have you?

Cool, I can see my office at 1:30 on the lower left hand corner before the 73 freeway.

kinda sounds like an a340
triniphoenix007 3 years ago
Nope! A320 or 319. One and only with iritating turbo prop sound.
dallyborr 3 years ago
didnt say it was an A340...just sounds like an a340. they both got engines made by CFM, same as the 737NGs, a318-21 as well.

Cool. I'm going to Indiana on Friday! I'm taking off at the John Wayne Airport! I love riding in planes

my grandparents lived below this takeoff spot. many memories, good video. LAXattack go easy

when did the engines go off
jiedlin 3 years ago
Since this video was shot on Frontier Airlines, the only aircraft that are operating in their fleet currently are Airbus A318s and A319s.

they have those small props
uhh atrs yea

They do not.
Mdj is right.

mmmnnooooo
they have Bombardier Q400
well atlest their regional partner does"Lynx Airline
cjracer1000 3 years ago
I guess technically you can incorporate the commuter airlines depending on how you look at it.
travelsonic 3 years ago
you could sya a year ago taht delta only had all boeing but their commuter had CRJ'S
cjracer1000 3 years ago
But in this video's case it clearly shows the plane's engine nacelle being on a low wing AND without a propellor.
mjd4277 3 years ago
know it isn't
i never said anything about the plane in this vid not being a jet
i was making a simple comment
cjracer1000 3 years ago
Sounds like a dc-10

and if the wind is good and like the fuel supply isn't as high you don't have to do full power on the roll or not even over the ocean right?
