@starraider113 well why not? when i was a wee tot, i could have used a drink and a smoke. maybe even a lap dance. do you realize how hard it was to be a fat jewish transsexual in the bible belt?
@starraider113 so we are morons for wanting to protect american freedoms? we are morons for wanting to keep sacred that which we as americans all believe in, the freedom to practice any religion of one's choosing anywhere we so choose?
Read "the politically incorrect guide to Islam" the rest of books on islam r watered down and sugared up to attract converts = suckers or to convince gullible people to consider islam as just another misinterpreted peaceful religion. In Seville, Spain, locals stopped construction of another mosque by burying a pig on the site and made sure the news became know to the local media. Islamic law forbids erecting mosques on "pig soiled ground". The Muslims had to cancel the project outright.
@jaxlnc kind of like christianity and judiasm. they're all masquerading as peaceful religions when in reality, they're all violent, discriminating, prideful, pious, and hypocritical. not 2 mention unnecessarily restrictive and not moralistic enuf 2 benefit all sections of the population, animals and the environment. but I bet u didn't mean that either, did ya? long as u cling 2 the sky fairy, u'll hav no higher ground then the muslims
kinda thought this would be stupid i was wrong get em lol
i was raised baptist and i have to say this every muslim is not a terrorist thats stupid
if we want to call people terrorist remember the kkk americas 1st and most violent hate group or terrorist tea party u suck tim mcveigh was not from the middle east he was from america america be afraid very afraid of anyone who isnt white baptist sad sssssoooooo sad smh cant we all just get along lol
kinda thought this would be stupid i was wrong get em lol

Calling this place a mosque is the biggest lie that's ever been perpetuated...because I really don't consider three floors of prayer space to be a mosque...srsly.
This is the only video you have made that I disagree with, and I only disagree with a part of it. Regarding events such as what occurred in the Netherlands, Islam has shown that it is religion that professes tolerance or free speech. Islamic countries are already pushing through an anti-blasphemy bill in the U.N. which is giving specifically Islam a privileged status.
If Muslims around the world see the Islamic center as a victory for Islam concerning 9/11 then this is a very real problem.
@starraider113 "There is no reason in why this nut job (who has the support from Hezbollah) should want to build next to it."
You do know that the guy funding the mosque is a co-owner of Fox, right? He owns the second largest share of the company. Google "fox news funds mosque"
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just stating the facts.
@starraider113 How can you post such ignorant bigotry in the comments to a video that spells out how ignorant and bigoted you are? Are you not just ignorant and bigoted but also stupid?
@starraider113 to answer your question... yes. If we treat people who are different from us without respect we are no different from the terrorists who attacked us. why can't you answer the question... how far away from ground zero should the mosque be built? you are trying to restrict peoples right to worship. first ammendment much? also i find it hard to believe that MILLIONS of people support al-queda, MOST OF THEM. put down your glen beck book. you sound like a bigoted moron. stop hate
how much of new york city (the most diverse city in the world) should be free of faiths you disagree with with. 2 blocks 3 blocks? no muslims died at the twin towers i guess they are different so they dont count. your position is bigoted because you blame all muslims for the actions of 19 extremests (most of whom are saudis yes the same saudis who own fox news). who are u to call it hallowed ground? i lost a friend and cousin at 9/11 and think about it everyday. get over your bigotry!
@starraider113 dude its a mosque run by a very progressive cleric who is building it in place of an empty building. how you can equate that into some form of offense is beyond me. by the way, i lost both a friend and family member on 9/11, both of whom had pregnant wives. seeing their infant children at their funerals and crying are memories i carry every day. so i do remember that 19 terrorists (mostly saudis) attacked us, not ALL MUSLIMS. whats so civilized about bigotry?
@starraider113 do they have any churches near where people were burned at the stake for being witches? obviously if all muslims are bad then all christians are bad also. hey, are there any American flags in Hiroshima? thats the thing about ignorance and bigotry... its real easy to point to someone else when you cant see your glass house. by the way, would you have a problem with the mosque being there if it was built pre-911? oww, thinking makes my head hurt.
@starraider113 - How can you say that today's Conservatives don't display ethnic hatred? They're ALL about hatred. Hatred of the less fortunate, hatred of immigrants, legal or otherwise. Hatred of Blacks. Hatred of anyone who isn't Christian. Hatred of women and their rights to freedom in how they handle their reproduction. Conservatives are a hateful lot.
@jdgrab1 You call this "subtle"? Wow! and supposedly were the dummies lol...This is clear as day and night that it is satire. Most(if not all) of it is wrong but still somewhat entertaining for all it's worth.
@1337wafflezz Apparently you're one of the dummies it's intended for. Doesn't it strike you as interesting that all the subtle humor and poignant satire comes from the left side of the political spectrum? This piece is an excellent satirical send up of the fear based, reactionary tendencies of the right. I'm sorry if you're unable to see the subtlety of this satirical piece, but what else is to be expected from someone who struggles with contractions.
@jdgrab1 Oh my...your condition is worse than I initially predicted. I KNOW this is satire! I'm saying that it isn't subtle at all, so that any idiot, even yourself can understand the humor. It took you awhile to piece the lego blocks together btw and realize that I am a conservative(libertarian). Lol that just adds further evidence to my previous hypothesis.
@starraider113 Der Mussolini invented Fascism, and Hitler tried to emulate him. (Beer hall putch)
In both cases government controlled everything, that's kind of the idea of Fascism. Fascism is the ultimate nationalist orientation. But businessment didn't exactly suffer.
Hitler despised socialism, one of the first parties he banned were the socialist and comunist parties.
Even the treaty of peace with the USSR wasn't realy peace, and was just stalling for his invasion of the "slav nations."
@starraider113 Idiot. There is no part of that which is true at all. Some of the people Hitler put in his concentration camps, in fact some of the first were comunists and socialists, he despised them. It's true he blamed the jews for being "money grubbing" but he also blamed jews for infiltraging from the "slav nations" (USSR) being comunists, loosing the first world war and still more.
Oh what a Load of " We are the World! Kumbaya! " shit.
Islam is just as brutally backwards, dangerous, and flat out fucking scary as Fundamentalist-Christianity.
You Berkeley types that make these videos, you Michael Moore worshipping retards that truly believe the world is this giant happy, hug-orgy are always the ones who get mugged/shot/blown up by the crazies that us realists try to protect you from.
@Flamesdupont Thank goodness we have you redneck foreigners to protect us New Yorkers from our fellow New Yorker Muslim neighbors. Whatever would we do without you.
@Flamesdupont "we realists" not "us realists," and frankly we don't need you protecting us from them. i hate to break it to you, but there is no us and them, buddy. we all share this planet. TOGETHER! and we all know hatred begets hatred. so the simple solution is to BREAK THE CYCLE! when your enemy strikes you, what are you supposed to do?
@BlueStateChronicle but aren't we supposed to be better than our 'enemies?' aren't we supposed to hold ourselves to a higher standard? or would you have us abide by the same rules as them?
OMG am Canadian and have been checking your vids out today for the first time. Genius stuff, I love it, laughin so hard...sad thing is the Dummy fearmongers types run the government up here now and are pulling propaganda and undemocratic stunts that would make Bush and Cheney blush with envy. At least you knew Bush was only in power for a limited time. Under our system we could have the Harper regime indefinitely if he keeps getting a plurality with only 30% of the votes.
Thanks for keeping these clever, well done videos coming. I for one am in desperate need of some humor, and Stewart and Colbert aren't on every day. :_)
@starraider113 So we should not have allowed Catholic churches to be built or operated after the holy Inquisition, right? They killed way more - hundreds of thousands - during their reign of terror.
@classicallady It amazes me how so many of our fellow Americans believe their rights should be protected by force but the rights of those they disagree with mean nothing. I think it's one of the 'tells' whether one is a Progressive/Liberal or a Conservative. From my experiences in life I have noticed that Progressive/Liberals accept that other people have different views on things. Conservatives accept their own views and condemn all others and those who have them. If you know what I mean. :)
That is right, not all Germans were Nazis, and those who were not Nazis should not have to atone for the few. Many Germans helped Jewish people during that time, and their stories should be told.
You live in a small town or suburb, but the cities are very different. 2 blocks from your old school is a tavern, where liquor is served, and there are other activities not suitable for minors.
Being asked to step softly in delicate matters is not the same as being asked to atone. There is nothing wrong with requesting that these particular Muslims to make their good intentions clear with some show of sincere desire for further unity and peaceful relations.
What is even the down side of something like providing interfaith prayer space as well as Islamic? It would help people learn from each other and understand each other's religion better, wouldn't it?
@Aliothemage The reason nobody responds to your interfaith prayer space idea is because it is utterly naive and intrusive. It boggles my mind that you insist that the only way for the Muslims to prove their good intentions is to cede a portion of their land to different religious organizations. Like you I'm an atheist. Since I think religious people are nuts, can I demand that to prove they're not religious freaks, they should also create a space for non-believers? You're like a child.
Why is it intrusive? They are already making it open to everyone. Why is it naive? Can people really not pray to different religions in 1 building? All I've done is suggested a solution that helps them with their OWN professed cause of improving relations and better understanding while simultaneously diffusing the situation and not letting extremists on both sides use this issue to divide us further. I don't even know what there is to object to in this suggestion.
@Aliothemage Well, as you will note from the official website, park51.org, there will be (seperate from the Mosque) "a September 11th memorial and quiet contemplation space, open to all". Clearly anyone can pray in this space in whatever manner they choose without having to create other churches. And as this video so clearly demonstrates it is wild claims by pundits with agendas provoking this nonsense. The "problem" will disappear as soon as they find some other incident to stoke fear.
@NoProphetNYC The funny thing about watching the 'Fright Wing' party is that many of the same talking heads who are screaming bloody murder over this Cultural Center (did I say Cultural Center? I mean TERROR DEATH EVIL HEADQUARTERS!) are the very same people who just a year or so back had nothing but positive things to say about it. I guess that was before they got their talking points memo and marching orders. It's not a mosque and it's not at ground zero, but don't tell that to the dummies! XD
And look, if you don't like my suggestion, then make another one. As the situation remains now, this mosque is helping Muslim and Christian extremists by provoking relatively moderate people on both sides. That problem isn't just going to disappear by making videos insulting people who might be moderate or undecided on the issue. That just makes things worse, doesn't it? If my suggestion is "childish" then what is your suggestion?
Well you must be extremely angry about all the bars, 7-11s, etc. that are 2 blocks away from schools.
A cultural center would seem to be a better choice for that area. Cultural centers tend to serve purposes of education, unity, etc. Is it just that you do not trust them?
@starraider113 I did not miss your point at all, but I was trying to say that we already have those situations you mentioned. Everyone has a right to his/her feelings. I am more horrified at how America is treating the survivors of the attack.
There is already a strip club near that site. As a a matter of fact, there are strip clubs and bars everywhere. There are billboards advertising liquor and cigarettes everywhere, with easy access to children. In some states, we still have the auctioning blocks from which human beings were sold.
Well I like topless bars and with this religion are elegal so I'm against it, nothing personal but I got to send a few girls to college and they treat me good so I don't drink tea or fanatics worship I like freedom and lots of it so thanks for the vid but no more religions in America they need 'em in the desert not here and for the tea party grow up and start acting like civilize people join the rest of us get I decent job be kind to others what's wrong with it? nothing absolutely nothing!!
Even if I assume that the developers of this Mosque are in no way intending offense, it still seems that way, but it doesn't HAVE to. All I ask is that they make their good intentions clear and indisputable. They can easily do this by including prayer space for other faiths as well as for Muslims. This building is going to cost over $100 million and will have many, many floors and i'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to find a little room for the valuable cause of peaceful relations.
I am a native Chicagoan, and I remember when the Nazi Party had their building on 71st street, in an African American neighborhood. The point is, we can't stereotype, or we tread on dangerous waters. No Christian cultural center has a prayer room for other faiths, neither any synagogue, though other people are allowed to visit
Of course no church or synagogue has no prayer rooms for other faiths... then it wouldn't be a church would it? lol. It would be more like a non-denominational religious center. The Imam says he wants this center to be a place that brings us together, right? Well at the moment it seems to be splitting us apart instead. An easy solution to that to get what HE says he wants is to make it an inter-faith center, right? I just don't see where the negative side of this is.
It is a cultural center, not a church. I do not think it is splitting us apart; some like it, some don't, some don't care. Freedom of speech, and all that.
Being a northsider, I was born and brought up around cultural centers and museums, etc. I grew up around the corner from the Chicago Historical Society, a museum about all things Chicago. We do not have a New York room, though NYers are welcome to visit.
The controversy this brings helps 2 groups of people. Muslim extremists, and the crazy conservative right of this country. Neither you nor I want to aid either of those groups, so what is the best way to fight against them? I believe the best method is to make this "center" as NON-controversial as possible. The die-hards who WANT this to be controversial will then either have to shut-up or make themselves look ever more foolish as it becomes ever more clear that the issue is NOT controversial.
Hum... I am from France and i happen to know muslims very well. So you can take your ignorance, your redneck stupidity, your parroting Faux Noose crap and your (2 blocs away) "sacred ground" bulshit (which your "heroes" were denied HC btw)) and go to hell were you belong, bitch!
That seems to be the consistent tactic of this video and those who agree with it. Instead of actually taking on the actual arguments of your opponents utilizing your reason and logic, you instead just assume they are all evil, corrupt, paid off, racist, bigoted, or whatever. Something you guys need to learn about the world is that 2 well intentioned reasonable people CAN honestly come to vastly different conclusions on many subjects.
Assuming ill-intentions just avoids the real issue.
You're still missing the point. I'm not saying they shouldn't be ABLE to build the mosque. Just like crazy Christians should be ABLE to protest homosexuality at the funerals of soldiers. Freedom must allow those things. But that doesn't mean we have to ignore that these things are WRONG. As another youtuber pointed out, "they HAVE the right, but it is NOT right". I'm not saying they should be stopped, I'm asking them, in the name of peaceful relations, to prove their good intentions.
2. while the people responsible for 9/11 were Muslims, it was not an act sanction by the religion
3. bush oven and over talked about his religion making him act on it, same thing hitler said, (his soldiers had "god is with us" written on their belts)
bush believed god was with out in our quest of murdering .
1. It is widely acknowledged that the larger Muslim community was eerily SILENT when condemnation of the attacks was expected.
2. It was an action specifically motivated by their religion that they would never have even thought about had they not been religious.
3. What does Bush stupidity have to do with anything?
Are you under the impression I ever supported Bush or that I even support Christianity? Just FYU: I've always detested Bush, never voted Republican and am an Atheist.
@ZegatonZ HOW ABOUT A LITTLE RESPECT FOR ONCE FROM MUSLIMS TO THE VICTIMS OF 9/11, HUH? THIS ISN'T ABOUT CONSITUTIONAL RIGHTS. YEAH, THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BUILD THERE. IT'S ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THING - HAVING A LITTLE RESPECT AND COMPASSION FOR ALL VICITIMS, THEIR FAMILIES & LOVED ONES. WHAT 3000 AND COUNTING ISN'T ENOUGH MOSQUES? HEY, BUILD, BUILD, BUILD! WE ARE SIMPLY ASKING THEY LEAVE THIS ONE AREA ALONE! LEAVE IT TO YOU LIBS TO MAKE THIS A POLITICAL SLAM!
@MsDennery you know there were muslims who died in the towers too, right? and i don't mean in the plains muslims, i mean in the buildings muslims. hell, there was a "mosque" of sorts in the washroom of one of the towers for muslim office workers and waiters and cooks in the restaurant who couldn't make it to the closest mosque to pray. wouldn't that be more like a "ground zero mosque" than this thing?
@MsDennery you know there were muslims who died in the towers too, right? and i don't mean in the plains muslims, i mean in the buildings muslims. hell, there was a "mosque" of sorts in the washroom of one of the towers for muslim office workers and waiters and cooks in the restaurant who couldn't make it to the closest mosque to pray. wouldn't that be more like a "ground zero mosque" than this thing?
There are 214 comments on this page and more than half of them come from Aliothemage from Norfolk. He has posted repeatedly to this page since the video's release on Monday, desperately attempting to push his nonsensical agenda that we are in a war against Islam (but not Muslims...). Any theories as to what is prompting this obsessive behavior? Insane hate-filled freak or deliberate DC-based PR Hack who has been assigned to this video because of it's obvious power of reason? Dummies, go!
Is it of particular importance that I'm from Norfolk? You've mentioned it twice now so I was a bit curious as to why you find it worth mentioning.
Lol, you have a conspiracy theory about me being "assigned" to this video and I'm the crazy one? Why do YOU keep checking up on the video? I'm going to assume (because it makes sense) that you simply care about the issue and you might even enjoy debating. See what I did there? I didn't automatically assume the very worst of you.
@Aliothemage And look - four more comments in a row to push my observation down the page. It's not based on the fact that you have a different opinion. It's the obsessive, repetitive behavior. Hardly a conspiracy theory. It's an observation.
I point out that you're from Norfolk because you are involving yourself in a local zoning matter in my city. You don't understand our city, our culture, or the neighborhood. Stick to your libertarian values and focus on your town - not mine.
Ohh please. It's not about pushing you down the page, it is about getting my point across. Some times it takes more then a few sentences to accurately portray a specific position.
And it's a little silly to make the claim that people outside of NYC shouldn't have an opinion on the matter. Wouldn't that also mean we Americans shouldn't have opinions on foreign events like say, flooding in Pakistan, or Tsunamis in SE Asia? Besides, the issue involves much more then NYC.
@Aliothemage More than a few sentences? Hahaha! I invite anyone to click "see all" above to read the chain of comments and notice how Aliothemage obsessively, compulsively, posts the same points over and over and over again. Mock The Dummy take note! The professional right has discovered you and is in panic mode. Keep up the great work!
Well when I talk with more then one person some times I have to explain myself more then one time. Was that really all that hard to figure out?
And the "professional right"? Don't make me puke. I'm an atheist, I've never voted republican, I'm against the war on drugs, for gay marriage, for stem cell research, never wanted to go to Iraq, against the patriot act and other civil liberty violations.
If you believe in your own argument then stop propping up straw men to attack.
@Aliothemage@Aliothemage You keep telling everyone else to get educated, but have consistently posted misinformation. I would like to invite you to spend a few minutes getting educated on the Park 51 vision and project. You'll learn a little about Manhattan, the one million Muslims here, and the vision of the project: Go to park51.org
@NoProphetNYC So far I'm only aware of two mistakes i've made. Once I got the Mayor of NY mixed up with the Governor, I don't think that's a huge deal though. The other time I got misinformation from a Newspaper about the opening date and I don't really think I'm really to blame for that... I'm not used to reading News Papers with such poor information verification.
If anything, you should admire that I admit and correct my mistakes. I'll take a look at that website.
The explanation about the closing of that other Mosque's "space" and the over crowding are important. It would be much more effective to point out things like that rather then to simply deride your opponents, don't you think? Argument is meant to persuade, not infuriate, right?
That fact makes it more understandable, though it still remains questionable to me for reasons such as Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf's desire to use Sharia Law in the US.
@Aliothemage Alright. dialogue. According to Rauf's book, he believes Sharia law is compatible with Western law and was simply perverted when Islamic countries took a "wrong turn" several centuries ago. So his notion of Shariah Law is inconsistent with how it is practiced in many Islamic countries. Part of his mission is to change the minds and hearts and westernize those countries. Read the following: blogher .com/imam-feisal-abdul-rauf-shariah-and-democracy
Well, I'm certain that he has a very different picture of Sharia Law then, say, Saudi Arabia, but no matter how nice his version is, isn't he still insisting that he wants to mix religion with government and wishes for a separate or special law/court system for Muslims? That article doesn't really answer my questions because as it notes a certain level of voluntary religious arbitration is already allowed. It seems like he is asking for more, doesn't it? Why else bring it up?
@NoProphetNYC Perhaps the CyberSteroids have sent him into a CyberRoidRage?
I'm not sure one can have such massive Internet muscles without using performance enhancing hacks. LOL!
I gave your comment the thumbs up and would have give it 4 more if I could.
Perhaps the reason that Alieomage posted all of the nonsensical gibberish is because the message of this video hit WAY too close to home for him/her/them?
In the words of two members of the Canadian Muslim Congress:
"Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?"
Even their fellow Muslims can see that this Mosque is a provocation and if they honestly didn't mean it to be then they can make simple steps to prove their good intentions that will truly help promote tolerance and peace.
It cracks me up how 'Conservatives' (regardless of which superstitions they cling to) always fear 'Liberals' and those of us who seek education and enlightenment.
Conservatives run around thumping their chests @ how powerful & fearless they are, all the the while trying their best in make everybody around them as fearful as they are.
Ohh please. This is not about conservatives. I'm no conservative, and neither is Thunderf00t, who has a couple videos opposing this Mosque. Educate yourself about who all of your opponents are and what they are actually saying. This video doesn't exactly explain much about the truth of the matter.
In fact, I have some friends who are Muslim too. i'm not afraid of them, and I'm not afraid of this Mosque. But I do detest possible Islamic symbols of VICTORY concerning 9-11.
@MsDennery Do you get paid per post or per character used? You say my comment is 'ironic' and you accuse me of hate because I refuse to be afraid. That is some pretty funny stuff. Here's a bit of info for that little mind of yours. THERE WAS A MOSQUE INSIDE THE WTC! You might not feel it, but YOU look stupid.
Thanks for playing and go back to your KKK meeting now.
Yeah, i find that whole "strippers" argument to be pretty funny. I mean, when was the last time someone massacred 3,000+ innocent civilians in the name of stripping?
What I still don't get is why none of you will even consider how reasonable and how much it would help mend the bad name Terrorists have given Islam if the developers of this Mosque mad even a small gesture to show their good intentions such as taking up the governor's offer of FREE relocation, or simply adding in a Christian and Jewish prayer space to show their own sincere commitment for tolerance. The cost is small for such a great potential benefit for Muslim-American relations, isn't it?
@Aliothemage the major population of lower manhattan is muslim. thats why. it would pretty much go to waste. the reason they won't change the site is also for that reason. also keep in mind that it's not up to the governor and less up to us to decide what happens in a burrow of new york city. it's up to the mayor of new york and the zoning commission. we should have never been brought into this debate. I also reccomend looking up the pentagon mosque if you still think I'm full of it.
You are "full of it" because you don't even know the argument. I'm not saying it is up to the governor. I wouldn't even say it should be up to the Mayor or zoning commission. People should be ABLE to build whatever they want on their private party. The point we are making is that this Mosque is unnecessarily provocative (over 60% of Americans find it to be so) and that it doesn't HAVE to be that way. The developers CAN give us a sincere sign of good intentions if he wished to do so.
@chgosatrap Of course not. Only blacks died in Birmingham. The death of innocent, harmless little girls at a church isn't enough. Now, if they had been WHITE...
What I don't get is why none of you will even address the suggestion of a compromise. Why is it that suggestions that will calm the issue down and help heal the divide between Muslims and Americans are simply ignored as if they were never made? I'll try once again:
This mosque, however innocent its intentions, has been a lightning rod for renewed controversy. Would it be all that unreasonable to ask that the developer make a small show of his good intentions, for the furthering of our peaceful relations, in doing something such as providing Christian and Jewish prayer space as well?
@Aliothemage Would it have been unreasonable for black people to not create controversy and remain seated at the back of the bus or use separate wash room and drink fountains? Why would you want to pray in a Mosque if you were not a Muslim? Do you want to go to a Buddhist temple and pray to Jesus?
What? that makes no sense. When was the last time black people massacred 3,000+ Americans in the name of their race?
And I wouldn't want to pray in a Mosque, or in anything else, I'm an atheist. The point is that it wouldn't BE just a Mosque any more, it would be a multi cultural and multi denominational place of worship. It would be a symbol of unity rather then what appears to be more like a symbol celebrating 9-11 as it currently is. It is an easy solution, what the problem?
I was obviously talking about the divide between the Muslim WORLD and the American WORLD, not just about the particular Muslims who were making this mosque of planning on using it.
I want us to live together in peace. Sometimes that means we should avoid stepping on each other's toes, but I think that's a small price to pay for such an important goal. Don't you agree?
Ohh yeah, those terrorists were just 19 random guys, huh? There were connected by anything significant. They didn't all have the same motivations or anything... They weren't all part of the same cult which has a holy book that encouraged them in any way...
you can keep your blinders on for as long as you want, it doesn't make reality disappear though.
Can't you see that this is exactly the kind of insult those terrorists and bin Laden would have LOVED to get away with thanks to our PC mania?
@Aliothemage My favorite thing about you is that you continue to spew on this wall for all to see forever. It doesn't matter that these 19 men had the same motivation. What matters is that you believe all Muslims have the same motivation. I hate to be so blunt, but you, Norfolk, are the dummy being mocked in this video.
I don't see how you keep finding all these words that you claim come from my mouth. I never said that all Muslims have the same motivation. I merely stated that the Islamic religion, itself, is THE motivation for those mass murdering terrorists. I don't think you'll even deny the truth of that. Instead you try to twist what I'm saying. Why don't we have an HONEST discussion without any further straw man arguments.
@NoProphetNYC We don't believe ALL Muslims have the same motivation! That's so typical of you libs. You scream racist, bigot, fear monger, etc., whenever someone stands in opposition to your views! Well your baseless accusations are insulting as hell & you can shove 'em where the sun don't shine!
@NoProphetNYC This is a matter of doing what is right in the view of the majority of the victims' families, their loved ones, and citizens of this country who believe this IS SACRED GROUND! That doesn't make us anti-Muslim or anti-anything, you dip! Sorry you feel it's too much to ask that - ONCE, JUST ONCE - the American-Muslim community throw a little compassion and respect someone else's way for a change!
@MsDennery The only one screaming here is you. You made 8 comments in a row so this must strike a nerve. Do you live and pay taxes here in Manhattan like I do? Since you believe the 2 block radius around the WTC (which comprises much of the financial district, thousands of ofices & hundreds of thousands of people) is SACRED GROUND I doubt it. You're foreign. You don't understand our values or our city. Butt out. Just once the American redneck community needs to show some respect to New Yorkers.
"If Rauf is serious about building bridges, then he could have dedicated space in this so-called community centre to a church and synagogue, but he did not. We passed on this message to him through a mutual Saudi friend, but received no answer."
I loved that idea of Raheel Raza and Tarek Fatah's. They would be able to have the community center and mosque, and their good intentions would be proven for all to see. It would be beautiful. Why can't they even give us that gesture of reconciliation?
Here is clips from an article written by two Muslims of the Muslim Canadian Congress. on the subject:
"Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?"
Exactly Toeball. These people would rather dig up the very weakest opponent they can fight and use him as a straw man instead of taking on those with reasonable objections and considerations.
We aren't saying it's illegal, or dangerous, or that it should be stopped by the government. We are saying that it is unduly provocative, adding yet more fuel to the fire of Muslim-American Discord. In the name of peaceful relations they should kindly re-consider their actions.
@Aliothemage You know what's unduly provocative? A bunch of dumb-ass "conservatives" who didn't even know they should be outraged about this mosque for the first 5 months after it was reported on, until the racist Geller, Fox News and the right wing noise machine told you you needed to be angry about it. And most of this has nothing at all to do with Muslims or the Mosque, and everything to do with getting you to vote Republican in November.
I'm not even conservative. Just goes to show how little you know about what you're talking about.
And I hate to break it to you, but liberals are using this issue to garner votes just as much as conservatives are.
Also, when have I ever once lumped all Muslims together or advocated for a policy from a theocratic state?
I don't have a problem with most Muslims. Only the INDIVIDUALS committing terrorism AND those who plan on building what appears to be a celebration of 9-11.

MannyZtheWolfWarrior 1 year ago
This is the only video you have made that I disagree with, and I only disagree with a part of it. Regarding events such as what occurred in the Netherlands, Islam has shown that it is religion that professes tolerance or free speech. Islamic countries are already pushing through an anti-blasphemy bill in the U.N. which is giving specifically Islam a privileged status.
If Muslims around the world see the Islamic center as a victory for Islam concerning 9/11 then this is a very real problem.

MakoSharkX 1 year ago 2
@starraider113 The word socialist in "National socialist" was a vote grazer, nothing more.

@starraider113 Idiot. There is no part of that which is true at all. Some of the people Hitler put in his concentration camps, in fact some of the first were comunists and socialists, he despised them. That is right, not all Germans were Nazis, and those who were not Nazis should not have to atone for the few. Many Germans helped Jewish people during that time, and their stories should be told.
You live in a small town or suburb, but the cities are very different. 2 blocks from your old school is a tavern, where liquor is served, and there are other activities not suitable for minors.
chgosatrap 1 year ago
@chgosatrap
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage The reason nobody responds to your interfaith prayer space idea is because it is utterly naive and intrusive. It boggles my mind that you insist that the only way for the Muslims to prove their good intentions is to cede a portion of their land to different religious organizations. Like you I'm an atheist. Since I think religious people are nuts, can I demand that to prove they're not religious freaks, they should also create a space for non-believers? You're like a child.
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage Well, as you will note from the official website, park51.org, there will be (seperate from the Mosque) "a September 11th memorial and quiet contemplation space, open to all". Clearly anyone can pray in this space in whatever manner they choose without having to create other churches. And as this video so clearly demonstrates it is wild claims by pundits with agendas provoking this nonsense. The "problem" will disappear as soon as they find some other incident to stoke fear.
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago 20
@NoProphetNYC The funny thing about watching the 'Fright Wing' party is that many of the same talking heads who are screaming bloody murder over this Cultural Center (did I say Cultural Center? I mean TERROR DEATH EVIL HEADQUARTERS!) are the very same people who just a year or so back had nothing but positive things to say about it. I guess that was before they got their talking points memo and marching orders. It's not a mosque and it's not at ground zero, but don't tell that to the dummies! XD
Fretslayer 1 year ago 19
@NoProphetNYC
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage
A cultural center is what helps you learn about other cultures. Do you really think a Baptist church has a prayer space for Catholics, etc?
chgosatrap 1 year ago
@starraider113
Well you must be extremely angry about all the bars, 7-11s, etc. that are 2 blocks away from schools.

Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage
I am a native Chicagoan, and I remember when the Nazi Party had their building on 71st street, in an African American neighborhood. The point is, we can't stereotype, or we tread on dangerous waters. No Christian cultural center has a prayer room for other faiths, neither any synagogue, though other people are allowed to visit
chgosatrap 1 year ago
@chgosatrap
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage
It is a cultural center, not a church. I do not think it is splitting us apart; some like it, some don't, some don't care. Freedom of speech, and all that.

Freedom must allow those things. But that doesn't mean we have to ignore that these things are WRONG. As another youtuber pointed out, "they HAVE the right, but it is NOT right". I'm not saying they should be stopped, I'm asking them, in the name of peaceful relations, to prove their good intentions.

.
you have to understand that
1.Muslims in general did not celebrate 9/11,
2. while the people responsible for 9/11 were Muslims, it was not an act sanction by the religion
3. bush oven and over talked about his religion making him act on it, same thing hitler said, (his soldiers had "god is with us" written on their belts)
bush believed god was with out in our quest of murdering .

He has posted repeatedly to this page since the video's release on Monday, desperately attempting to push his nonsensical agenda that we are in a war against Islam (but not Muslims...).
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage More than a few sentences? Hahaha! I invite anyone to click "see all" above to read the chain of comments and notice how Aliothemage obsessively, compulsively, posts the same points over and over and over again. Mock The Dummy take note! The professional right has discovered you and is in panic mode. Keep up the great work!

@NoProphetNYC

@Aliothemage @Aliothemage You keep telling everyone else to get educated, but have consistently posted misinformation. I would like to invite you to spend a few minutes getting educated on the Park 51 vision and project. You'll learn a little about Manhattan, the one million Muslims here, and the vision of the project: Go to park51.org
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC So far I'm only aware of two mistakes i've made. Once I got the Mayor of NY mixed up with the Governor, I don't think that's a huge deal though. The other time I got misinformation from a Newspaper about the opening date and I don't really think I'm really to blame for that... I'm not used to reading News Papers with such poor information verification.
If anything, you should admire that I admit and correct my mistakes. I'll take a look at that website.

@NoProphetNYC
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage Alright. dialogue. According to Rauf's book, he believes Sharia law is compatible with Western law and was simply perverted when Islamic countries took a "wrong turn" several centuries ago. So his notion of Shariah Law is inconsistent with how it is practiced in many Islamic countries. Part of his mission is to change the minds and hearts and westernize those countries. Read the following: blogher .com/imam-feisal-abdul-rauf-shariah-and-democracy
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC

Aliothemage 1 year ago
Brilliant!
I live in the U.S.
I have some friends who are Muslim.
I'm not afraid of them.
They're not afraid of me.
Sorry TeaBaggerNeoCons-You've failed.
Again!
Fretslayer 1 year ago
@Fretslayer
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Fretslayer Wow! How ironic. YOU are so the 'hater'! Everything you accuse of Conservatives is exactly how I see you! And no I'm not a Conservative!
MsDennery 1 year ago
@MsDennery Do you get paid per post or per character used? You say my comment is 'ironic' and you accuse me of hate because I refuse to be afraid. That is some pretty funny stuff. Here's a bit of info for that little mind of yours. THERE WAS A MOSQUE INSIDE THE WTC! You might not feel it, but YOU look stupid.
Thanks for playing and go back to your KKK meeting now.
Fretslayer 1 year ago
Yeah, i find that whole "strippers" argument to be pretty funny. I mean, when was the last time someone massacred 3,000+ innocent civilians in the name of stripping?
Aliothemage 1 year ago
What I still don't get is why none of you will even consider how reasonable and how much it would help mend the bad name Terrorists have given Islam if the developers of this Mosque mad even a small gesture to show their good intentions such as taking up the governor's offer of FREE relocation, or simply adding in a Christian and Jewish prayer space to show their own sincere commitment for tolerance. The cost is small for such a great potential benefit for Muslim-American relations, isn't it?
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage the major population of lower manhattan is muslim. thats why. it would pretty much go to waste. the reason they won't change the site is also for that reason. also keep in mind that it's not up to the governor and less up to us to decide what happens in a burrow of new york city. it's up to the mayor of new york and the zoning commission. we should have never been brought into this debate. I also reccomend looking up the pentagon mosque if you still think I'm full of it.
MUTT1126 1 year ago
@MUTT1126

What I don't get is why none of you will even address the suggestion of a compromise. Why is it that suggestions that will calm the issue down and help heal the divide between Muslims and Americans are simply ignored as if they were never made? I'll try once again:
Aliothemage 1 year ago
This mosque, however innocent its intentions, has been a lightning rod for renewed controversy. Would it be all that unreasonable to ask that the developer make a small show of his good intentions, for the furthering of our peaceful relations, in doing something such as providing Christian and Jewish prayer space as well?
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage Would it have been unreasonable for black people to not create controversy and remain seated at the back of the bus or use separate wash room and drink fountains? Why would you want to pray in a Mosque if you were not a Muslim? Do you want to go to a Buddhist temple and pray to Jesus?
wtfoof 1 year ago
@wtfoof
What? that makes no sense.
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage "the Divide between Muslims and Americans"? As far as I know, these Muslims ARE Americans!
wtfoof 1 year ago

Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage My favorite thing about you is that you continue to spew on this wall for all to see forever. It doesn't matter that these 19 men had the same motivation. What matters is that you believe all Muslims have the same motivation. I hate to be so blunt, but you, Norfolk, are the dummy being mocked in this video.
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC We don't believe ALL Muslims have the same motivation! That's so typical of you libs. You scream racist, bigot, fear monger, etc., whenever someone stands in opposition to your views! Well your baseless accusations are insulting as hell & you can shove 'em where the sun don't shine!
MsDennery 1 year ago
@NoProphetNYC This is a matter of doing what is right in the view of the majority of the victims' families, their loved ones, and citizens of this country who believe this IS SACRED GROUND! That doesn't make us anti-Muslim or anti-anything, you dip! Sorry you feel it's too much to ask that - ONCE, JUST ONCE - the American-Muslim community throw a little compassion and respect someone else's way for a change!
MsDennery 1 year ago
@MsDennery The only one screaming here is you. You made 8 comments in a row so this must strike a nerve. Do you live and pay taxes here in Manhattan like I do? Since you believe the 2 block radius around the WTC (which comprises much of the financial district, thousands of ofices & hundreds of thousands of people) is SACRED GROUND I doubt it. You're foreign. You don't understand our values or our city. Butt out. Just once the American redneck community needs to show some respect to New Yorkers.
NoProphetNYC 1 year ago
"If Rauf is serious about building bridges, then he could have dedicated space in this so-called community centre to a church and synagogue, but he did not. We passed on this message to him through a mutual Saudi friend, but received no answer."
I loved that idea of Raheel Raza and Tarek Fatah's. They would be able to have the community center and mosque, and their good intentions would be proven for all to see. It would be beautiful. Why can't they even give us that gesture of reconciliation?
Aliothemage 1 year ago
Here is clips from an article written by two Muslims of the Muslim Canadian Congress. on the subject:
"Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?"
Aliothemage 1 year ago
Exactly Toeball. These people would rather dig up the very weakest opponent they can fight and use him as a straw man instead of taking on those with reasonable objections and considerations.
We aren't saying it's illegal, or dangerous, or that it should be stopped by the government. We are saying that it is unduly provocative, adding yet more fuel to the fire of Muslim-American Discord. In the name of peaceful relations they should kindly re-consider their actions.
Aliothemage 1 year ago
@Aliothemage You know what's unduly provocative? A bunch of dumb-ass "conservatives" who didn't even know they should be outraged about this mosque for the first 5 months after it was reported on, until the racist Geller, Fox News and the right wing noise machine told you you needed to be angry about it. And most of this has nothing at all to do with Muslims or the Mosque, and everything to do with getting you to vote Republican in November.
nrf91 1 year ago
@nrf91
