never knew how 2 get to the Desert Isl but on the c64 version if u knew the name off a level u could press T on start screen then enter name off level to go straight there but with only one life

24 years ago i heard about this desert island level.. i can remember being told u had to leave ur spectrum switched on @ the yacht level for 24 hours then a boat would take u to desert island...... wow.. so this is how its done

There was mention of a secret island room that was only accessable via the yacht in the original Jet-Set Willy and it *was* a myth. Putting the island in as a feature in JSWII was possibly a reaction to this famous myth.

It *was* a myth in JSW 1 - but they were sufficiently inspired by the legend that they decided to make it real for the sequel. BASTARD hard, though - the Forgotten Abbey still kills me every time.
