The closest two words we find to "Allah" are the Hebrew "alah" (it means to curse, mourn or rise, and is never applied to God) and the Hebrew word "Elah" is translated to either oak or turpentine tree. eh-lo-HIYM is the Hebrew word in Genesis 1, one of several names for God in the Hebrew Bible. eh-lo-HIYM = god a powerful one. I have a pastor teacher, and I'm still growing. I've read some from the Qu'ran, and taken part of what context and interpretation therefore the texts mean and apply. I've looked into the origin of the Muslim faith, and the origin of the Hebrew and Christian faith, and what archeology tells, and historical facts beside them. There are the preserved copies with the original-language of the Gospel, those early preserved in the Catholic Church, and those found 1800.

I do want to strees that it is what the original-language texts tell in context and correctly translated that really is what we shall search for. As the videos you've shown me are made of people with no basic knowledge in the Hebrew or koine Greek. One must go directly to the source, since people mistranslate and extract out of context very often in the videos on youtube.

The core of Jesus Christ message and teaching is to give ones life for others like he did. Jesus never did any sin in thought or action, and also told his followers and everyone who listened that those who belong to God's kingdom belong to those who make peace. No one who kills will inherit God's Kingdom. The first Christians never defended themselves, they avoided being killed if possible, but they did as Jesus had taught them. Sorry, that's not even close to the original-language texts of Hebrew. Huhammad is never mentioned, and Allah is also never mentioned. The closest two words we find to "Allah" are the Hebrew "alah" (it means to curse, mourn or rise, and is never applied to God) and the Hebrew word "Elah" is translated to either oak or turpentine tree. eh-lo-HIYM is the Hebrew word in Genesis 1, one of several names for God in the Hebrew Bible. eh-lo-HIYM = god a powerful one. I have a pastor teacher, and I'm still growing. I've read some from the Qu'ran, and taken part of what context and interpretation therefore the texts mean and apply. I've looked into the origin of the Muslim faith, and the origin of the Hebrew and Christian faith, and what archeology tells, and historical facts beside them. There are the preserved copies with the original-language of the Gospel, those early preserved in the Catholic Church, and those found 1800.

Now, when Jesus said "Before Abraham was, I am." the Jews picked up stones to stone him, since he said he is God, but Jesus sneaked away. Read John 8:58,59.

I am continuing from the two recent replies here: Now, to understand the two words that God tells Moses, and Jesus tells his people, is to see that the first word is "I" it points directly to the one who speaks, then we have "AM". This word "AM" has past, present and future tense, which clearly indicates that God is eternal, the same with Jesus, who says "before Abraham was, I am." God tells his people: "I AM".

'Allah' is not some separate entity, in fact in Islam its one of the biggest sins to worship or create separate entities other than god himself. 'Allah' is the Arabic word for 'God'. Even Christian Arabs refer to god as 'Allah', some even refer to Jesus as 'Allah'. If your going to talk, at least know what your talking about you misinformed prick. I loved Cat (and now Yusuf) for 40+ years. I don't care what his name is or what religion he follows. He has always had a great message to deliver and he has done a fantastic job. No matter what your religion is, his message has always been about peace and love. The greater forces must also believe in his ability to send the message as it is reflected in his lyrics and music. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to hear the Word through such a musical talent!

If you go to Yusuf Islams web page you can read him saying why he has dropped Islam From His Stage Name and that he will not wear islamic clothes or a turban and that he regrets being a conformist to the islamic crowd when he first converted. We are seeing the true Cat Stevens near the end of his life now understand that death threats and islamic fundamentals are anti human and not God he is changing he was great he can be great again

Does it care if he is muslim, or a christian or a jew? I believe, as a christian that anyone who lives in love and peace with the world, and lend these two qualities to the people near them, he is the one who goes to heaven. Yusuf has made this all his life, and perhaps now that he is a muslim, he does it more.

I am proud to be a Muslim and through out my life i didn't meet a man so kind and so peaceful like the Muslims. Yusuf Islam has lived his entire life in search of peace and love and he found them in Islam. Please don't reply what the media want you to know about Islam and don't make these ideas like a fact. @dentgent says the guy who is looking up for his music on youtube. second of all its not for you to judge, its for God. and neither you or I know what the judgement will be, its impossible to live 100% according to religion, not even you do it, as long as your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds that may be enough. be a good person, try to do good, have good intentions, avoid the sins you can, believe in god and the concepts of islam and that may be enough. who knows.

Ignoring the stupid anti Moslem comments, Cat Stevens, whatever name he chooses to go by, is an utter genius, but this is not, by any means, the best version of this lovely track.
Singers don't usually age well, they lose their top notes, and thus start singing like Karaoke singers!
