  • manchester england 1976 only in the ranch bar cool scene love it great memories. heard darnell hooked up with a manchester girl ? during his k id creole days on tour in manchester in the 80's

  • That's the band where Kid Creole started

  • The essential NY concept band of the era. The perfect combo of glam, camp, humor and romance. Tommy Motola's first real ticket to the dance. Such a good feeling! Thx 4 posting.

  • zoot suit city

  • What happened to this type of music oh so refreshing i miss it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NYC in the 1970s. Has there ever been a better spot in the time/space continuum?

  • no and there never will be

  • No it was fabulous back then, maybe because we were younger. I still live here and Rudy and Bloomburg have turned it into a big little town. It's boring as hell, lost it's edge in the mid '90s.

  • Yes sblizzy...this definitely is all about NYC...i lived there from 82 to 01 and in addition to acquiring a career practically danced my life away...drinking nothing but H2O at the clubs..dancing with olympic frenzy and dressing down afterwards to take the 3rd ave bus home early in the morning

    and only TAKING phone numbers:)

  • I always loved this one.. her voice reminds me of my childhood!

  • One of the best R&B albums ever made just put it on and let it do what it do from beginning to the end.

  • This reminds me of New York City!!

  • Was in NYC in the 1970s and yes THIS in NYC then. Wish it was still true.

  • chem100, What up? I was a teenager a bit later, in Chicago, but the same concept applies. Disco forever!!...

  • Disco Forever!!! Always. This is as good as it gets.

  • Classic from the Manchester Ritz All-dayers which led to Colin Curtis playing stuff like Patsy Galant and Sergio Mendes a little bit later and in turn led to the great Manchester Black Music and Jazz Funk scene in the 80s

  • Jersey City, teen years for me. It is still GREAT music. It inspired me to go into "The City" and "The City" changed my life for the better forever. I was 16 or so at the time. I had a job in Manhattan when I was 19.

  • I think you're all about forty?!......

  • The best music from them - even better than Cherchez la Femme. You feel like in 1930's

  • This song reminds me of W.B.L.S. & the New York sound of the fall of 1976. This is such good music with a certain"Touch of Class". Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band was "Hittin'& Stickin". Cory Day's voice was perfect. She had great vocal range & style. I love this period of the Disco Era. Great music & great times. Thanx Hoodylp25 for posting this classic.

  • one of my all time favorites this and their sunshower song.

  • This music was the best ever! It was the music to dance with your honey close. Just like dancing with the stars is today.

  • Does anyone have music from their second & third album? New York at Dawn? Transistor Madness? These albums didn't do as well as the first but since I am a die hard fan, I loved them just as much.

  • Transistor Madness is the SH*T! Been waiting for that post for a while now....

  • Italiano (3rd lp) posted

  • ok ok..y'all remember World's Best Looking Sound (WBLS) and WLIB with "Chief Rocker" Frankie Crocker?

  • Who can't forget Frankie "Hollywood" Crocker!!!!

  • This is hybrid disco! Way before Studio 54 attempted to be an "exclusive" disco. Harold Melvin, The Hughes Corperation, The Ojays and of course Barry White.
