  • i've learn a lot from your technique, Big Turtle; and Dear G*d, your Hakamas are colorful.

  • nice pants... ^_^

  • what a piece of c..p, your tv is really lucky one.

  • go to vid 107. it shows all the types of outdoor training i do. take care

  • hey good vid what i was taught wa that that first cut after the 180 on the first techniqie i though that was a cut to the eyes but maby our styles are diffrent good vid though

  • Hey, What in the world is HDGD?

  • i have no idea. where did you get that? i put dtg deticated to god but i dont know hdgd

  • Hey man Ive checked some of your vids and I commend you on your efforts and your zeal for wanting to learn koryu bugei. I have some years in Eishin ryu Iai and I must say, please take this as constructive criticism, that this Iai needs to be refined and polished to achieve correct technique. I know that you love to share information with people but to spread a little too much "pseudo" information or just knowledge from books and videos could be sending people on the wrong path.

    OGEIKO GANNBATE!

  • nice teq keep forward

    god bless u

    Domo Arigato Gozaimashita

  • who trained you

  • go to my bio and read

  • I like that Hakama. I've never seen one like that before.

  • Love it!

  • Why do most of the supportive comments have negative scores? Is it just me or are there people checking your videos and marking the comments like this, but not commenting themselves?

(I don't do iaido, so I won't comment on your technique, because in HDGD we cut from a pre-drawn position and there is no kneeling or standing while drawing, so I don't know what's required.)

It just struck me as strange that 'good' or positive comments should get a negative reaction.

  • I meant that in HDGD we stand, draw, step forward, cut however many times (up to eight), step back, and sheathe, so I'm not familiar with your technique. I should have said that in my first post.

IMHO there's nothing wrong with music to add to the tone of a video (and I liked the music in this video), so I can only guess that there are people who are happy to snipe, but not to talk directly to you or others.

  • cause there are a few bujinkan people of supper low rank and no knowledge and kids who watch iaido vids and never touched a sword have a smart mouth so i blocked them and they hate that i have a small following and i love to train and my friends love that i share what little information i have to share so they come to my sword vids and just click on negative comment cause they cant leave one cause i blocked them. it is ok. they can have it that way.

  • The voices of fools are loudest. When they can't be heard, they throw tantrums, eh?

  • Always remember sayabiki, and plant yourself more with each movement. The bouncyness and arm power takes away from cutting ability. Each cut or strike should start at the feet, move into the hip, pass through the shoulder and elbow, be directed with the wrist and hand, and end in the monouchi. I like the creativity, by the way. You have some beautiful land around where you live.

  • thanks

  • Your videos are getting better and better. The music is great, it fits to this art and it is not to loud. Keep on, and thanks for all your videos.

    *rei*

  • Does anyone besides Ninjas have footprints like that?I found some prints like that near my place so I suspect Ninjas.

  • maybe a elk or a deer. just kidding

  • Jason that is a great video, thanks for showing us your winter paradise. I really like that sword Iado fast draw move, thanks for explaining the foot work for the turn that guides the blade to its target. Your video's are great. Sorry I don't always comment but I'm usually busy and haven't been online as much since the snow has melted here.

Thanks again brother, I hope to see more sword techniques they are really well done.

  • This is by far my most favorite video you have done yet. I love the Snowy scenes with the powder egg bombs and all of the Katana techniques have given me a clearer understanding of the foundation of movements necessary for good swordsmanship. Very well done my brother.

  • Jason in my opinion that was by far your best video I favorited that one for myself . 5+++++++++++ stars . I loved the beginning where you dug out of the hole and the whole ninja outfit stuff and everything. Also the Katana stuff was insane. Thank you for sharing that fantastic video. The music was awesome as well.

  • Very good jason, thank you so much for this. I will try this soon.

  • Also, why do you hit the sword after?

  • if you see in slow motion you are actually flipping it. several things in iaido you do are tradition but it is how you would knock blood of blade before you resheath

  • Ah cool. Thanks. I only know the way to flip the blood from the sword to remove blood, didn't know that way. I will play around with it. Thanks Sensei Jason.

  • To shake of any debris, tissue or blood.

  • i heard that but also to make the sword easy to pull out of a person and i heard if it is not there it can create a vacumn when removing sword. both are probably right, that is just what i was told

  • Very nice intro work! Videos are getting more professional. I like the slo-mo to help demonstrate trickier moves. Closeups are great as well. Looking forward to more outdoor videos.

  • Thank You for posting these Katana videos. God Bless You and Yours.

  • Awesome techniques!5 stars.

  • this hole i crawl out of is off my second story deck and a tall big house with vaulted ceilings, so i am crawling out the sealed wall that i took a pic of and sent to some of you, and the ground is 15 to 20 feet under the snow. the house is buried and you can barely see it from road. i will be outside doing vids soon but have to go down mountain 15 miles unless i want to wait till end of june. outdoor vids are coming but it continues to snow daily on the mountain
