Do be very careful with that ledge... ferrets have a tendency to not think first.(As i'm sure you've noticed already) My friend's ferret is paralyzed from the waste down is requires a lot of special care. I cringe whenever someone holds my ferrets too high off the ground...

Haha that is so cool! I'd feel a bit worried though since ferrets have very little depth perception they tend to jump off high things without realizeing what theyve done 0_0 :) Did cookie just figure that out him/herself? Yikes I second that about how long that drop was :( A shelter I know had a playroom with a brick wall like that and a lucite wall blocking the ferrets from the rest of the house. One kept appearing in other rooms - they had no idea how he was getting out till they saw him climbing the brick one day. Ferrets are QUITE resourceful!

Of course I'm not letting her do it again..she had escaped twice that day and I couldn't figure out how until I put her serveillance...the bricks were moved, but she still scaled he wall, so here is a now a large piece of ply wood up against the wall.....No more escapes since..
