@MorbidWinter well the Varangians werent exactly vikings,it was a term for ,lets say ,pirates-merchants.First some swede vikings went south-east (eventually reaching Milkagard(constantinopole),and of course a number slavic tribes jumped on the bandwagon.

But Finnish people were never vikings. To be precise they arent even Germanic( as the Swedes, Norwegian, & Danish vikings were) but Finno-Ugric, they are closely related to Estonians and distantly related to Hungarians.
