Well, this Ichigo's def not perfect nor is it the perfect replica of Tite Kubo's design, but it is still great imo. He is not THAT thick. Also, I really did not like the expression of the "official" animated Ichigo. Clearly, this version has more details and is more "stylish" but that's just my point of view.
