As governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee had a hand in TWICE as many pardons and commutations as his three predecessors combined.
Huckabee granted 1,033 pardons and commutations in his 10 1/2 years as governor of Arkansas. Bill Clinton, Frank White and Tucker granted 507 clemencies in the 17 1/2 years they served as governor.
During his years as governor, Huckabee granted clemency an average of about once every four days.

Mike Huckabee DENIED Dumond's commutation.
Huckabee did not blame his predecessors. He did not commute, and he was not the one to blame... leave it to the MSM to forget that it WAS Clinton and Tucker who commute the sentence. This story has only been the source of slander and libel, the case was a circus in the first place if anything.

I totally agree... this case was long since handled. It was democrats who handled the commuting. It was democrats who paroled him. the Republican DENIED commutation.

Commutation of 39 years it was huckabee that wanted to parole him and let him go not the democrats. The republicans made it their cause celebre to free dumond. Huckabee also claimed to have DNA evidence exhoneratting dumond which didn't exist. Also the parole board was going to vote against parole until Huckabee stepped in with executive sessions. The parole board had voted twice against parole before the huckster stepped in
