its a great tune, u should be proud of what u've achieved- if you want to know the secret ingredient photek used to give his tunes that certain sound or "edge" that all comes from the analogue mixing desks he used- they give the character to a tune- this sounds like it was mixed straight out of a computer. Mac or pc makes fuck all difference its the mixing desks-straight up, they give the warmth and charm/character.

Yeah i know exactly what you mean about analogue, im doing a sound engineering course and one thing that i have learned is that analogue gives character to the sound, digital can be to clean. I try though to make my tracks have more character as if they were sent through a desk or some old compressor etc.

Loving the laid back vibe with this one, drum switching was cool, the Amen sounded boss, that stabbing bass was good too, really added thunder beneath the niceties. Good job here.

Maybe it could do with a little more meat, im not sure about the key stabs to add melody, I think you could fuze this track with the Age of Reason the drum pads from that & the melody could be added into the quiet parts to break up the tempo of the Amen, kinda like how Breakage remixed his A & B sides to form So Mars

Yeah i know what you mean i sort of rushed to finnish this track so the key stabs arent good. Maybe check out my track 'Outlaw' i think you will like it.

I use cubase 4 and play around with sounds, pads and breaks.
