@TheWitchOvAgnesi yeah so really due to the disadvantage of the synthetic ice. We really shouldn't be using it. So it means I have to sharpen my skate every practice right?
@TheFanofFPS Well, probably not every night, but much more frequently than on ice. But you gotta weigh things. If synthetic ice is the closest thing available to you (e.g. versus having to drive an hour to practice), then it may be worth it.
Or you just strap on some inlines and practice that way. Not the same but...
He is not the only NHL'r endorsing it my youngest daughters uncle as well endorses it! He played in the NHL with the Caps and Blues. So there must be something to it ! Old saying don't knock it til you try it?
Yes I Have it, Yes IT Works, Yes I am going to buy more. Yes It is worth the investment. I am a HUGE FAN and I just finished the grading and retaining walls for the pad, Pour Concrete and Add Superglide. I have a 9x15 patch for now and we are so addicted
@btbbuilder Hockey Stops Great, Backwards Crossovers Awesome. Basically anything u can think of on ICe can be done on this. (Be Warned Day 1 is sticky but from then on once broken in its AWESOME.
Thats hella awesome, I live hella far from the Ice, and I have to drive like 2 and 1/2 hours just to get there to have an hour of ice time.. I have a whole side yard of my house, I could just put it back there lol but only for the right price
if ur wondering how much, i looked on ebay and u can get a 10x10 chunk for somewhere between 300 and 400 hunred dollars. not bad i would probably buy some but i have no where to put it
Skating on sythetic ice is fun, but hard. Its hard to push a few times, but it's fun to try tricks. Afterwards you're blades get shreded and dull. Good for the environment, bad for your blades.
yes but can a goalie slide on it

I hear it effs up your blade
TheFanofFPS 10 months ago
@TheFanofFPS Wears down the edge 10 times faster, so the blade's lifespan drops significantly.

So, you must scratch a crapload of plastic shavings off these rinks. Do you end up inhaling a lot of these tiny plastic particles?
