  • Canada is ranked 30th and America is rated 39th in Health care system. Canada use to be number one but ever since Americanized of the system its gotten worse. Now France is number one. More and more corporations are trying to get that fat profit they do in the states. We live longer, have less infant deaths, have less preventable deaths, never go bankrupt due to health care cost.

  • Who's ranking was that and what criteria were used? And i find it hysterically when Canada's rating drops it's free market reforms that caused it. Hysterical

And that mortality rate is wonderful. A mortality rate usually entails things like quality of life, pollution, economic background, living practices, and untold other factors, but apparently when someone dies it's the fault of the healthcare system and nothing else influences it. Makes alot of sense....

  • You heard of the world health organisation? Hmm?

I have an idea for you. There is a little known service called..Google search. All you have to do is type a search phrase. Maybe if you were actually interested in facts you would have done this already rather than just be beligerant. The U.S healthcare is worse than Columbia. You get owned by the U.K. .

How many brits have gone bankrupt through healthcare? 0

60% of all US bankrupcies are due to..guess what? But of course, our way is just..theft

  • The WHO's ranks and criteria. Yeah go figure Canadians live longer and when compare Canadians to Americans Canadians are generally poorer then Americans. Free market would be great if there wasn't this thing called greed in the world. Companies want more money then people can give people want more and better products then they can pay for. There needs to be a Government to regulate that stuff or people get screwed over just like your Health care system allows.

  • Hey Everyone, This is a letter to you. If you want clarification "READ" this. Ok there is nothing wrong w/ the public option. I wrote this in a way that everybody will be able to understand. Let's go! 1)We have private schools 2)We have "PUBLIC" schools which the majority of students attend. If there were no public schools private schools could charge up the wazoo. Since there are public schools they must keep prices moderate. A lot of parents can't afford the PRIVATE schooling this is true.

  • That was so hilarious I almost choked while reading it. People attend public schools because they are SUBSIDIZED WITH MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF TAX DOLLARS, WHICH MAKES THEM SO CHEAP. That isn't free markets, again it results from people stealing from others to artificially lower the price. I made a video on this concept: crowding out, which you should watch because you have no idea about what you're talking about.

  • Actually I do know what I'm talking about. I used that example 2 help slow minded ppl like u see how the public option could benefit all. If this health care passes the insurance companies will have 2 come down on there prices & also they will have a hard time turning away patients w/ pre-existing conditions. Believe me they will still want 2 get business like it or not it's called fair competition. What are you going to do if you have a pre-existing condition and they deny you today? pls answer

  • Well I guess crowding out insurance company's and having people who already have health insurance see that there coverage is going to cost more is indeed beneficial system for everybody.

  • The insurance racket takes 30% off the top. That is inefficient. Getting rid of this middle man should be a top priority. How would you like it if the fire department and water works were privatised and those running it took 30% off the top. That's what happens when the mafia runs amok.

  • Your trading the HMO taking 30 percent for the Gov taking even more. Your switching from "the few plunder the many" to "everybody plunders everybody else" That's not solving a damn thing. There are numerous free market ways you could end the HMO system and give people more control over their healthcare, not by handing it to the government....

  • Amtrak, the post office and so on are government services. Does the FBI turn a profit? The profit motive is overrated. According to the profit motive, there ought to be no cure for AIDS or for diabetes because to do so would be to end treatment regimes that brings billions to big pharma.

  • That's hysterical? Profit is overrated? If you weren't being paid would you go to work everyday?

And the diabetes and aids argument is redundant and flawed. Paying for a cure for aids would generate more profit than letting people die, the person who comes up with a cure for aids will be a very rich man, all the incentive we need to keep researching for one...

  • You repubs are some fucking nuts. The person presenting this video is obviously displaying a portion of that craze that they have going on out here in America. I think if they can make a flu shot for the swine they should make one for stupidity. I understand people being passionate but ever time I see these looney right wingers I only hear a lot of hostility. Whatever happened to being civil? Regardless what they discuss there's always madness period just a lot of loud rhetoric.

  • One i'm not a republican, and two I love how you don't actually refute anything I say at all. Why did you even respond?

  • zomg how could such retardation be so prevalent in a supposedly intelligent nation?

You people sicken me with your pathetic cries "why should i pay for someone else". Because your a human you retard, and most of the rest of us care about each other, apparently not in America. So christian of your nation. Let the poor die, great attitude you fucktard.

  • Hmm Australia has a public option universal health care,

    not one is complaining here

  • one third of people in Australia and New Zealand still have private insurance? why is that?

  • @TheAustrian08 cause they choose too, its public care vs private care

Couple of years ago I broke my arm, went under the public health option and it all worked out great without having to pay fees

  • You know, dude, I understand why you might think stuff -- but we liberals love our country, too. We're not supporting a bill because we "hate freedom" or want friggin' communism.

  • Your taking away free choice under the illusion of choice, doesn't sound very freedom loving to me...

  • Honestly, amigo -- I'm not trying to argue with you, here, just talking -- how is this taking choice AWAY? It's GIVING people more choice. Removing the anti-trust exemption alone will give you -- yes YOU -- more choices of health care companies to choose from. That's called marketplace competition and it's a good thing. I suspect you haven't read the bill; if you're getting your facts from political pundits on the net and TV, you're being lied to. Read the bill.

  • Amigo, does the post office compete? Roads? Schools? Amtrak? All of these government owned operations LOSE MONEY, but do not go bankrupt. Why? Because the government has infinite income from taxes or deficit spending. In other words, they can crowd out the private market and make it IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPETE EFFECTIVELY. There is no choice when the government says it's option will not fail, ever.

  • How the hell does giving another option equate to removing choice?

You tards need to stop listening to limbaugh and sucking becks dick. Only in america could giving people more choices be called a government takeover. Retarded.

  • Its a choice that doesn't compete in the free market it going to put a lot of private options out of business so it ends of removing choice. In Canada private health care is illegal and these "reforms" are moving in that direction.

  • Oh please dont be so incredibly foolish, the entire reason a public option is required is because the insurance companies are FLEECING you. Your so blind you cant even understand that getting a better deal, that forces these corrupt companies to give you a fair deal, is actually a benefit. But oh no, you are preventing a few people getting rich off the many dying, thats denying choice...For the record, 30% of canadian healthcare is through the private sector. Read a book, not FOX.

  • For the record, there are plenty of private insurers in England still. Why is that?

  • Probably because people don't like waiting 16 weeks to see a doctor. Yeah the NHS is just devoid of problems and is perfect in every way...

  • In actual fact, the maximum NHS wait time from being referred to by a GP to hospital from non-emergency treatment is 18 weeks, not first seeing a GP. Fact check much? The average time is in fact much lower. And in America's case, 25% of you dont visit a doctor when ill because of costs, another 23% dont follow on prescriptions for the same reason. And the reason is obvious. People like you couldnt care less for your fellow american. Im proud to pay for care for those who cannot afford it.

  • If 25 percent of people don't go to the doctor than that's their choice, and if it's due to the price being too high their are a number of free market reforms we could introduce in order to lower costs which I explain in a different video.

If your proud for your gov to steal with you, feel proud. I have no problem with charity but there is no reason for the government to ever tell you that you must part with your income in order to help someone else if you don't wish to.

  • No its not a choice you tard. They cant afford it. That has nothing to do with CHOICE. Do you actually understand what choice means because it doesnt seem like it.

And the reform you speak of is called guess what, the public option.

What you fail to realise is you already pay for those without cover through your premiums when they require emergency care. You are being gievn the choice to pay less earlier and all you can hear is "theft! theft!"

Again, who pays for the police? Is it theft?

  • My fifth healthcare video deals with alternatives to reform, watch it because I'm not going to keep repeating myself when I've already stated it in another video...

  • u look cute

  • Oh yes we can and we did. So there you idiots

  • No we won't. So die you Marxist

  • Pelosi the Marxist will end up being tortured in traitors prison when the revolution begins. I am armed and ready to finally defend the constitution and so are millions of patriots. The time has come again to shed blood for this great country.

  • WoW You really don't know anything about the Canadian system. lol Canadians don't want to get ride of Universal health care.

  • why do so many Canadian doctors demand that the right to a private insurance option? I suppose their all greedy who want children to die.....

  • Many doctors demand private care thats funny. Next think your going to say is they demand to pay the outrageous practicing fees they do in the States. Anyone that only cares about just the money shouldn't be a doctor. Next think your going to say trust big business they will do right for you. Oh wait never mind you do believe that how is that stimulus money going as you guys are paying it off well people are out of jobs and there making more money then you can imagine.

  • Was that last sentence even coherent? It's been predicted that one third of Canadian provinces will have doctor shortages by 2015, because doctors leave your country for others. And if canada actually encouraged more people to become doctors, as opposed to restricting how many can enter med school, they would lower prices by forcing the doctors to compete more. Canada has less doctors per 1000 people than the US and it's only getting worse...

  • What about those states where you have to travel out of state to get what you need because there is no doctor to do it there and once you do go to that state they say sorry we don't except your insurance. What about thousands that go to ER but don't have insurances and get turned around. Your very own Country is having a shortage in doctors just one doesn't give a crap because they don't see everyone and the other does see everyone.

  • 1. I think a basic free market reform would be allowing people to buy insurance over state lines and allowing any type of insurance to count in any state. Barack Obama DOESN'T SUPPORT THIS BECAUSE HE'S AN IDIOT.

    2. No one gets turned away because they don't have insurance, it's illegal. Paying for the service is a different matter, but no one ever gets rejected because of ability to pay.

  • 3. Yes, we do have a shortage of Doctors, and that results from groups like the American Medical Association colluding with state governments to keep regulations high on becoming a doctor in order to raise the collective income of the remaining doctors. This again is a problem, one that Barack Obama REFUSES TO FIX because he gets so many contributions from Doctors in general.

  • Yeah sure if your on your death bed they wont turn you away but if you have something like a chronic heart problem that needs meds to stop a major attack they go to bad come back when you have the heart attack or a real emergency we will look after you then.

  • Y U DO?

  • True. And now the nation's brightest students WON'T be going to medical schools! Why would they go 80 grand in debt to land a government job? They won't. So whatever healthcare we do end up with will be performed by less than adequate practitioners.

  • Best. Episode. Everrr.

  • America is being robbed, lied too, sacrificed and abused. The TV was a marvelous invention by the elite
