Sucks that they downgraded the GPU in the Wifi one without telling customers, its a SGX530, the 3G uses the 40. About half the theoretical performance.

Im thinking of buying the wifi model, and I was recently at best buy pricing the tab. They had a 3g model on display, but there were a few problems. Asphalt 5 Free and GT Racing Motor Academy Free+ were missing from the Android Market. Could this be fixed in any way? And the second problem was found when I installed google earth. I opened the app, but it was forced to close for the lack of a micro sd card. So the 16gb onboard memory does not count as sd space, or is that only a problem on 3g?

@MrMegatrical if you have a router and you have your own user name and password you just go to the settings and enter it in but if your not in a wifi zone outside of your home then it won't work

this tab has one defect , its photo viewer app can only display downsized versions of the images , so when you zoom in you don't get more details , you only get a blurry-kind-of image , it would have been a perfect tab if this defect wasn't there , it can even play full HD 1080p videos !!!

@07704510926knight I guess it's about android cause my LG optimus black has the same issue, u can't see the whole picture, just preview :s when u download to your computer then it looks as it has to be..so my point is, probably android picture gallery opens the file as preview for a better and faster performance..

cause in amazon in some descriptions of the dock keyboards, they say:" compatible with your samsung galaxy tab p1000" but I dont know if it is compatible with the wifi-only version :S

@roerotigres the wifi model only supports well... Wifi. If you go to tmo att or sprint then you have to make a contract, select a plan, ect. Buy the wifi model better

Wi-Fi only model sports a 1GHz A8 Cortex processor, while the 3G model uses a 1GHz, Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. This means the processor used in the Wi-Fi only model is that of a older generation. The Wi-Fi model is powered by a PowerVR SGX 530, while its 3G cousin has a PowerVR SGX 540. a user who has used the Wi-Fi only device says that “The performance is not good. I see noticeable lag when pulling down the notification bar. I go and check out 3G version. It’s a lot better”.

Yup getting the HTC EVO View 4G has this tab will be outdated and not worth getting it. The HTC EVO View 4G Featuring a 1.5 GHz processor, 7-inch display, Android 2.3 and will upgrade to Honeycomb they say in fall. Waiting for just a wifi not worht buying it
