  • "why does everyone want a friggin' rock album" this is definitely pretty rocking for Swans standards

  • "ride your beautiful bitch to the ultimate sin "

  • Ride your mechanical beast to Heaven...

  • @dubbinainteasy dave...matthews...band? No, this is not dave matthews. In fact, I think The Swans ate the dave matthews band for breakfast

  • great band...gira is still great....the only band that made that made also a good comeback was mission of burma....and don t forget the ex...the new record is also great!!!

  • Hell Yeah !! They will be in Poland !! Warsaw Love Swans and KIng Gira

  • MICHAEL GIRA IS A LEGEND.

  • f**k, i can't wait to see them in Berlin...still 4 weeks left.

  • F'nn brilliant! Some of the best lyrics I've heard in a while.

  • I think it'd be a little strange for a guy in his 50s with a family to do a 'downright brutal' album. . .there is definitely brutal instrumentation on this album that should satisfy the early rhythmic appetite.

  • @TheKnifeWon Listen to them live. Then you'll see that their brutality is mantained, if not augumented. AMAZING.

  • @TheKnifeWon Haven't you ever heard anything by Whitehouse released in the 2000s? Plus William Bennett is getting ready to release an album of "afro-noise" under his Cut Hands project soon too. Don't know if he has a family, but he's in his 50s.

  • @ClavicleofSolomon OK OK. . .sheesh, I say something regrettable on a whim months ago, and I'm still getting people replying to it. :P Retraaaact?

  • @TheKnifeWon haha. No hard feelings. Didn't mean for my reply to sound like an insult, just saying. But in the case of Gira and early Swans, yes I do find it hard to imagine a '50 year old Gira doing Filth/Cop/Young God material in the shirtless frenzied style he used to. Obviously Whitehouse = different music, different aesthetic, and W. Bennett = totally different dude (who doesn't seem to take himself too seriously).

  • To me it's a rock concept album.

  • I'm sure Swans fans are going to hate me for this, but although this is a good album. I was really hoping for something just downright brutal like Filth, or Cop.

  • "Best album in a while"......its their 1st album in 14 years, so i reckon it should be.

  • awesome

  • I dont see how people can such asses, why does everyone want a friggin' rock album? I wanna see music moving forward, not repeated and rehashed. This is certainly still WAYYY ahead of its time.

  • @Power2theFlyingV because people are resistant to change. swans have been consistent through-out and this album just proves how phenomenal the talent within the group is. people who cannot grasp that are obviously lacking upstairs which is fine- more goodness for the rest of us!

  • @tatonnement hey dont pay attention to my comment i seriously thought i was listening to another band i was super fucked up lol swans is still really good though

  • at 4:48, what kind of teeth are piled up in the sink? it is driving me fucking crazy.

  • @thefigurant these methadrine teeth are piled up in the sink...

  • @thefigurant he means dog teeth and human teeth cuz its a dog eat dog world ya know ...

  • A great song dedicated to a great musician.

  • @TheFingerbang1 who is it dedicated to?

  • @realradiodevil JG Thirlwell

  • @TheFingerbang1 nice. thanks

  • Comment removed

  • @TheFingerbang1 i thought it was jim jones ?

  • @stiggyh I can’t remember exactly where he said it but it was definitely dedicated Thirlwell; he has collaborated with Swans in the past (notably on “ A Screw”)

  • its no dave matthews band.

  • @dubbinainteasy no dave matthews band? LMAO. get the fuck outta here.

  • @roejogan8 He had to have been joking.

  • @dubbinainteasy Never a truer statement.

  • The best Swans album in a long while.

  • Gira.... amazing.
