  • good work here

  • She is perhaps the most naive person ever.

  • @newnoggin2 actually she is recognized as one of the greatest minds of our time. Do you have a PhD in Economics, too, like her?

  • Lecturing on the "Violent past" of Capitalism... In a Church.. Well Jesus H. Christ, isn't that something?

  • Brilliant! Really, really brilliant. Is should make us all stop and raelly think about where we are heading if we don't change.

  • as long as oil and coal are the methods for energy they will always be used as an excuse for dictatorship in capitalism and for those who are naive and think the soviet union is what communists want, the soviet union was horribly polluting with the exact same mass production oppression as whosawhatsit

  • As long as she NEVER mentions the CHEVRON OIL BATTERY PATENT she is NEVER deal with the real problem that is an obstacle to the real solutions.

  • Great talk. Clear, expressive and concise. I can't see why people find this so hard to understand. Wake up! If it does seem difficult to understand look up, read up and get up - do something in the real world (ie outside in the natural environment) and you'll get it!! What a wonderful resource thank you TTT and thank you Naomi Klein.

  • Is it just me or can you not hear her speak at all???

  • @afrequencydown I can hear her ok it's just that the sound system isn't that brilliant as she is speaking in a Church where there is some echo.

  • They don give a shit about your planet, climate or you at all. Just use those scary words make shore that you go in “right” direction. It is right for them and they encourage you to believe that it is right for you too.

I want to hear what you real know and based on what evidence?

  • Believe in climate change? Its kind a religion? I’d like to know for shore if it is truth.

Encourage to believe is advantage seeking behavior.

Science politics? What is that? BS – bias science? Bad science? Bull shit science? To me it is not science at all. It does looks like propaganda ore lobbying, PR, public relation ship. Looks like that some one smells profit opportunity and seek more for them self and less for everybody ells.

  • This is a great talk. However, I think you should explain what or where Totnes is, since most people have never heard of it. Why was she there?

She does say "um" a lot, but maybe that's because she's been listening to Hillary Clinton for research. Clinton says 'ah" and "um" every 4 words.

  • @shellius ive never been so sure why so many of these people don't know how to shift talking points without making utters

  • Interesting to see this aspect of a brilliant writer's "process" as she essentially "focus-groups" material for her next book. Klein, who is usually a great speaker, is a little off here, somewhat disorganized and, "um" unprepared. I can't wait to see this information in its final form, the ongoing battle between disaster capitalists and those fighting back... the biographies of free-market zealots engaged in a disinformation campaign... this could be her best book yet!

  • I think she would agree that Capitalism (the way

it has metastasized in our present age) cannot be improved, deflected

or reformed; it must be destroyed—utterly. As far as Klein goes, I

agree with her. The only problem I see, is that she needs to take it

    one step further. Total Revolution.

  • The governments, the

Capitalists, and their massive, hypnotic media disinformation outlets

are not going to allow any substantive, non-violent questioning of

their legitimacy, their existence or the real popularizing of

    sustainable alternatives.

  • @bboldt2 Read Derrick Jensen's demolishing of pascifist dogma and the need to "dismantle globally, rebuild locally". One of my favourite writers, works as a great comparison to Naomi's stuff about disaster capitalism / the suicidal system.

  • I Hope this helps close the gap! It is time for the big Polluters to pay! Its time for all People to Respect Mother Earth and Give back instead of just taking!

Organic Gardening does both! It can also absorb carbon via soil sequestration, is Healthier for both us and the Environment! with less Chemicals too!

    This helps with climate change!

So does buying locally produced goods!

    Reusing, Recycling and Renewing!

These are trying times we live in!

Hope we can work it all out for our Kids sakes!
