I think the guy who made the video is a twat as the Ferrari 355 is a good car and his turbo is a modern car to that which was released in 1993/94, still you cant drive a ferrari every day even the modern F430 neither the 458. The 911 turbo you can thrash every day and park it up then the next day give it a hard beating and again and again every day of the year so thats why a 911 turbo is good an every day missile mate, and mine has never let me down 1 of x4 cars and 1 bike.

Porsche have never put a v6 in a 911!! Theye use a Flat 6 and it's a great engine. They don't stick a v8 in the 911 because it wouldn't fit in. (the engine is at the back of a 911 Philmen) Porsche is a better car pound for pound.
i know the engine is in the back of the car but if they want they can put a v8 in their models, look at the carrera gt, it's the only porsche which is good for me .

Dude the Carrera has a mid mounted V10 and is pretty much a tottaly differnt care to the 911, Porsche don't need to use V8's in the 911 they have limetid space and the flat 6 engines has worked a treat for decades. I agree a 911 is an everyday supercar because it's reliable, well built and comfortable the ferrari is not. Have you ever seen a GT2?? it eats 430's and guess what? it's a flat 6!
Ferrari's 'ordinary' cars are Porsche's supercars. Think about it; The F430 is comparable to a Boxter, whilst the GT2 is comparable to a 599 GTB. The only middle ground between Porsche and Ferrari model tiers is occupied by the Enzo and the Carrera GT as both are megacars.
In the world of fast exotics, the only limiting factor is the amount of money you have. At the end of the day, if you are prepared to pay a little extra, Ferrari will always provide the faster car.
Also, I don't know where or how you figured that Porsche assemble their cars better than Ferrari... They did once upon a time, but the game has since shifted... On a final note, I've ridden shotgun in a 360 Challenge ALMS racer and it was actually more comfortable than my car - even with the stiff Boge dampers and racing slicks...
On the subject of comparisons, I will put it a little less eloquently so that you can understand. The Boxster is Porsche's entry level model, just as the F430 is Ferrari's entry level model.
Thats why I suggested, that you should compare apples to apples - in other words, compare based on a models respective position in the manufacturers range... not the price bracket that it falls into.

The 993 Porsche Turbo would leave the 355 behind as well, so Porsche won the race even 12. I had a 993 Turbo, bought it after considering the 355. The Ferrari had better handling (as opposed to road holding ability) and a sound that would give you chills, but the 400/400 HP/torque and AWD of the Porsche gave it a significant edge both in a straight line and in the curves. It's tranny and shifter were also perfect. AWD numbed the feel through the steering wheel though.
Whoops, I meant the Porsche won even 12 years ago. The Ferrari was more fun to drive due to superior feedback from the car and that sound! Also, just having RWD meant for more fun as well. I later sold the Turbo and got a 360: my most enjoyable car ever until my Atom. Even though the Atom will leave almost anything behind up to about 140mph, it still isn't the driver's car that the Ferrari is (of course!) I wish I still had the 430, darn economy. Of course I could have just saved my money.

Don't compare a turbo charged car as the 911 with 480 cv turbocharged with a normally aspirated car as the F355 with 385. 100 cv and a lot of torque of difference. The 997s would be a reasonable comparative; both have an atmospheric motor, same hp and similar c.c. (cubic centimeters). (Yes, but different weight).

Porsche have never put a v6 in a 911!! Theye use a Flat 6 and it's a great engine. They don't stick a v8 in the 911 because it wouldn't fit in. (the engine is at the back of a 911 Philmen) Porsche is a better car pound for pound.

Dude the Carrera has a mid mounted V10 and is pretty much a tottaly differnt care to the 911, Porsche don't need to use V8's in the 911 they have limetid space and the flat 6 engines has worked a treat for decades. I agree a 911 is an everyday supercar because it's reliable, well built and comfortable the ferrari is not. Have you ever seen a GT2?? it eats 430's and guess what? it's a flat 6!

Ferrari's 'ordinary' cars are Porsche's supercars. Think about it; The F430 is comparable to a Boxter, whilst the GT2 is comparable to a 599 GTB. The only middle ground between Porsche and Ferrari model tiers is occupied by the Enzo and the Carrera GT as both are megacars.
In the world of fast exotics, the only limiting factor is the amount of money you have. At the end of the day, if you are prepared to pay a little extra, Ferrari will always provide the faster car.

Also, I don't know where or how you figured that Porsche assemble their cars better than Ferrari... They did once upon a time, but the game has since shifted... On a final note, I've ridden shotgun in a 360 Challenge ALMS racer and it was actually more comfortable than my car - even with the stiff Boge dampers and racing slicks...

On the subject of comparisons, I will put it a little less eloquently so that you can understand. The Boxster is Porsche's entry level model, just as the F430 is Ferrari's entry level model.
Thats why I suggested, that you should compare apples to apples - in other words, compare based on a models respective position in the manufacturers range... not the price bracket that it falls into.

The boxter was never designed to rival the 430 it was to rival the Z3/4 SLK..... i agree it's porsches entry level car but they saw a market for a cheaper porsche and exploited it well, ferrari have always been a maker of supercars and wouldn't take a risk like porsche did, have you ever seen a road test with a 430 up against a boxter?? they're all up against 911t.

I know that the Boxster was never intended to rival the F430... However, it is limited in its capabilities in comparison to the rest of the Porsche range - just like the 430 is limited in contrast to the Ferrari range... Therefore, I think we can both agree that the 430 is definitely not the best that Ferrari has to offer. Infact, it is just like other entry level models; a compromise. These are the commonalities between the F430 and the Boxster...

You can use it in any context where there are explicitly 2 seats. If I were with a group of mates and one of them had a GT3 and was generous enough to give joyrides to the rest of the group, I could announce shotgun to reserve the seat before anybody else.
If you say, I rode shotgun, it implies that you simply occupied the front seat. Doesn't matter if the car lacks rear seats; it is still valid...

I never stated ferrari's were ordinary was i was explaining how 911's are everyday cars, My comparisons are obviously based on price, your comparing a boxter to a 430 because of its layout but the boxter is a mass produced car which is a third of the price of a 430 you may as well compare a 430 to a MR2 or MGF! things will always be easy with a turbo engine. engines with no pressure will always demand 100 % efert,but they usely are better at the track. turbo cars usely have a lot of tourqe in all of the rev range.

the Porsche is a newer one I can tell. The 355 is 10 years old at least, so Ferrari wins by handicap. A 575M a 360 CS or an F430 would be a more balanced race.

The 993 Porsche Turbo would leave the 355 behind as well, so Porsche won the race even 12. I had a 993 Turbo, bought it after considering the 355. The Ferrari had better handling (as opposed to road holding ability) and a sound that would give you chills, but the 400/400 HP/torque and AWD of the Porsche gave it a significant edge both in a straight line and in the curves. It's tranny and shifter were also perfect. AWD numbed the feel through the steering wheel though.

Whoops, I meant the Porsche won even 12 years ago. The Ferrari was more fun to drive due to superior feedback from the car and that sound! Also, just having RWD meant for more fun as well. I later sold the Turbo and got a 360: my most enjoyable car ever until my Atom. Even though the Atom will leave almost anything behind up to about 140mph, it still isn't the driver's car that the Ferrari is (of course!) I wish I still had the 430, darn economy. Of course I could have just saved my money.

Don't compare a turbo charged car as the 911 with 480 cv turbocharged with a normally aspirated car as the F355 with 385. 100 cv and a lot of torque of difference. The 997s would be a reasonable comparative; both have an atmospheric motor, same hp and similar c.c. (cubic centimeters). (Yes, but different weight).

Lets face it, Ferrari is not practical for everyday use. The price is too high, the interrior is not up to the level of porsche, low clearance(the worst thing), its too wide....
Porsche aint perfect, but it has more advantages on the roads, plus you would not be able to drive ferrari to its full potential anyways

not everyone can drive. you might be a good driver but the other driver may not be. varies. take the 911 turbo to its limits in the twisties and put a 355 behind its tail at its limits and 911 turbo will start to widen the gap. ferrari did not have one good handling production model car till the 360 cs. so open your eyes. at the time of 355, m3 evo used to handle better. satisfied with my experience?
