Hi Sean, well coz of my autism i find it hard to understand. What is a referendum? I didnt like the voting system as it would make it even harder, where as it is easier to do at the moment.

We get no majority so the parties haggle with each other in FPTP thus the public are left out.
In AV that does not occur due to the run off so the person who would have had the most votes where there no "tactical voting" wins.
The results I've seen between AV and FPTP are barely different though and there is the cost problem so I'm still torn.

Glad to see you're back.
Look up, "Arrow Impossibility Theorem." ALL voting systems are flawed. ALL democracy is about sacrificing the preferences of some to the preferences of others. The Hare System (or AV as you're calling it) is no exception.
