  • This was a dream come true for us! Opening for Iced Earth and Nevermore

  • Iwas there i was the roady for agony within they played with ice earth as well .at cardies great show

  • There will never be in history an album better than Into The Mirror Black. But I would like so much to see them trying!

  • \m/ \m/

  • Lets see what happens, Been a die hard Sanctuary Nevermore fan.. Would like to see Sanctuary put out a new album. Nevermore losing Jeff loomis, and Van Williams ,will most definately push torward to a new Sanctuary album..

  • @poeticreasoning38 WD tweeted he's working on new Sanctuary songs weeks ago.

  • Hey man I think i was at that show...was this at Cardi's on bissonnet? I saw them twice and one night one of the members kids got up and did a killer drum solo after the set before the next band. Then the next bands drummer said something like "you can turn me down (drum mike). And the sound guy said "I didnt turn it up for him, that kid hits as hard as you guys" Kid was like 9-10 y.o. Good times back then. Thanks for posting.

  • I loved Sanctuary- heard they doing another album soon. (as a project)

    Nevermore are amazing. :)

  • Sanctuary reformed, and Jeff Loomis is on guitar! :D

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC Seriously? That's awesome news!

  • @PrivateSnowballTFC Jeff was the guitarist of Sanctuary for about a year before they broke up. I think he joined in 1990 or '91.

  • Legendary song..

  • that hair......man I want it!!!!!!

  • So apparently he' maybe working on a Sanctuary project! :)

  • isn't this the band called SANCTUART!!!?

  • @ali5576 Sanctuary was the band that Warrel Dane & Jim Sheppard were part of before Nevermore.

  • @EnemyKnown cheers dude!! I didn'tknow that!!!

  • If they still did this song, it would be the most epic thing ever!

  • Nevermore playing Future Tense just makes me think that Warrel really cares about his fans.

  • People keep saying Warrel messed up his voice but this is not true at all.. His voice is as epic today as it always was, its called maturity and progression. Vocal commentary aside this is the best music ever. :)

  • @neuroelite yeah he said yesterday that he can still hit these notes he just doesn't know if he want's too when they record the new sanctuary.

  • The boys sound pretty fucking Ace here, and this isnt the best recording from 20 years ago. IMPRESSIVE!!

  • These arguments about Warrel's voice are kind of played out. Much like Ray Alder, I'm sure it's more a question of maturing as an artist than it is breaking one's voice. It would be so tired if Warrel sang operatic all of the time.

  • @neuroelite

Maybe you would get tired of it, but I would a lot happier. I love Nevermore totally, but his voice just has never clicked with me minus the Sanctuary.

  • I interviewed Jeff & Warrell in 2006 and asked them about Sanctuary songs. Warrell asked me what Sanctuary song I would choose, and I said Future Tense, to which he replied "NOOOOOOOO, Pick another one!" so I said Die For My Sins or Eden Lies Obscured. Id love to see it!

  • into the mirror black-sanctuary

  • Tim Calvert rules...and the rest of the other guys also do!:-)

  • great band i saw them in 1989 i was smoking weed underneath the stage below them' and the stage was like' where you walk over a' celler cage' and white rabbit came on' and it was amazing'

  • This is the HEAVY METAL that I LOVE

  • I too wish they played some Sanctuary stuff. I love Nevermore, but I also love Sanctuary.

  • He can't sing that stuff anymore.

  • he should take a few opera singing lessons like he used to to get that POWER METAL scream!!!!

  • few lessons? i read he learn five years.

  • Thats unfortunately true, he doesn't really have to scream anymore. He sounds great without doing that.

  • why is that? why cant he sing that stuff anymore?

    he broke his voice?

  • He fucked his head voice, really REALLY fucked it. That also affected his high register as a whole. Because of this his voice has a crackly, unique tone to it. I personally think he nows sounds twisted and evil; perfect for the music.

  • dude, this is a Sanctuary song...what are you talking about?

  • Nevermore developed out of Sanctuary........

  • hey they were opening for Iced Earth at this concert, neat. i love Nevermore, Sanctuary, and Iced Earth

  • warrel said that he will be playing sanctuary songs on the praise to the warmachine tour

  • really? Where did he say that? I he did thats pretty much a ticket sold already, his solo stuff is killer, but Sanctuary, yeaaaaaaaaa.

  • Man,seriously, you just made me happy!

  • They are F-ing kick ass still showin love in seattle

  • we miss the this song

  • wish they still played these songs.

  • Aah,great vid !!!

  • i wish nevermore was able to come out with their dvd, or they just need to go on tour again. They are such an awesome band live, I want to see them again so bad.

  • i wanted to see them live at the 2005 Gigantour but i missed it. what show did you go to?

  • gigantour 05 in Corpus Christi

  • nice, i should've went to the 2005 Gigantour. how long was their set?

  • lol, you should've asked me 2 years ago cuz I don't even remember anymore. My best guess would be 30 minutes, maybe more than that. Though I still remember a few of the songs they played, which is amazing b/c that was where I first heard them.

  • hey, it's all good bro. i would probably forget too. i hope to see them live one day. oh yeah, did Anthrax play at that Gigantour where you went to?

  • no, dream theater was still there, thankfully, since they were probably like 75% of the reason I went. I wanted to see dream theater and symphony x the most, megadeth was really more of a bonus than a major reason for going, and I heard nevermore for the first time.

  • that's cool man. i want to see Symphony X with Epica and Into Eternity on April. are you going to that tour?

  • yep, it'll be my third time to see symphony x, and my second time to see into eternity. And I just got into epica, so I'll be glad to see them as well.

  • if i go, it'll be my first time seeing Symphony X, second time seeing Into Eternity, and first time seeing Epica. that should be one great show.

  • great song, terrible quality though

  • I came

  • says iced earth in the backround, dammn that wood be a sick show

  • Awesome!!!Please post more SANCUARY, this is Heavy Metal!!!

  • nice. i think they coulda stayed sanctuary though. they're pretty much the same band

  • I think a few people would disagree, besides they lost several song writing band members. Things might have been easier if they hadn't changed their name, but Nevermore is imo considerably darker music.

  • good point. they are darker.

  • Both bands really have very little in common.

Nevermore is much more modern, less speed metal and power metal influenced, and there's an alternative influence as well.

Sanctuary was much more traditional speed/power metal.

Both are amazing bands, just very different overall

  • NEVERMORE rocks! very cool!

  • They are dripping with chesse.

  • Let's hear your band... I could use a good joke.

  • Your cock is dripping with shit from your little brothers asshole.

  • So i will stop getting these stupid comments, THE FUCKING VIDEO IS DRIPPING WITH CHESSE NOT THE BAND! Can't you people take a fucking joke?

  • LOL

  • bass player looks bored at times.. or is it my imagination? (:

  • Crohn's disease doesn't often make you feel like jumping for joy.

  • they should play this song and battle angels at every show

  • battle angels cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Warrel wasted, but still can sing. Nice drum riser, high tech! LOL. Great band, too bad they dont include that song in their set anymore.

  • Nevermore and Sanctuary are the same band in my opinion. Great stuff.

  • Heh, I was at this show...my best friend and I went fucking INSANE when the song kicked in. We couldn't believe it...

I wish they'd make Sanctuary songs a regular part of their concert sets. As far as I'm concerned, Sanctuary and Nevermore are the same band with a different names.

  • I saw them a few months after this video was shot when they toured with Mercyful Fate. That was the only time i ever saw them play this song live-i went nuts!!!! One of my all time fav Sanctuary songs.

  • well maybe now days Iced Earth should support Nevermore cuz theyre not doing so well i didint like Glorious burden so much but u have to admit Iced earth was the Shit back in the day so i understand Nevermore opening for them.. besides the stuff Sanctuary play give some little taste of Iced Earths style of playing

  • yeah, because they were suporting Iced Earth on several tours.anyway it should be the other way,Iced Earth should suport Nevermore...

  • It's only me or there's an Iced Earth banner on the back?

  • holy fuck that sounds so much better with Warrel's more mature voice

  • and Warrel is drunk as fuck.

  • Haha, Warrel was always drunk back in those days.

  • Tim Calvert is an amzing guitarplayer.

  • Killer Sanctuary song

dude up in front is having a kick ass time with Warrel Dane thats what its all about

  • WOW! Awesome. ididnt know they ever did Sancuary stuff.

  • Wow, they should do that more often.

  • Nevermore is Sanctuary. The label wouldn't sign them unless they changed their name. The first Nevermore album is actually two Sanctuary demos.

  • fucking yes!!!!

  • well is the same singer , bass player and also guitar player coz Loomis played in the last Sanctuary Line Up

  • Ah, nevermore covering sanctuary. how ironic.
