  • I remember this. One of the staff members at my old school had her house burned down by this.

  • aww how sad.. even if they can buy another home this is very sad

  • land of graciouse living MY ASS

  • good footage.... I like how u put BFE... only the YL locals know that reference. hahah

  • That was the scariest thing =(

  • Horrible, i was an exchange student at Yorba Linda, so this is just a horrific thing to see. It would be just as bad even if i wasnt there.

  • i live at corona. i saw the smoke

  • Wow how messed up

  • my home burned down in that fire. My mom was the pregnant one who lost but then found her ring. It was horrible and I am working on a book about what it was like.

  • we lived so close to this fire and we were in the house and we had to get out of the house cuz the smoke was heading towards our houseand we couldnt ake it we felt really sick from it.

  • my house was almost burned my dad was interveiwed... im trying to find him

  • this fire was completely out of control it burnt down some of my friends homes

  • I live in Diamond Bar, this fire was bad.

  • My house almost got hit!!! Im on the street! :(

  • Where was Orange County Fire during this fire????

  • Where do you think? Running around the area trying to catch the fire. There was no water in upper yorba linda and horrible traffic leading into the area. OCFA was one of many departments fighting this blaze. Besides, almost all the units in this video are OCFA. Also are some Corona firefighters and an Anaheim engine.

  • There was a lot more engines, because when i was being Evacted my family and I saw fire trucks from Monterey.

  • Well your exactly right.Running around is what OCFD was doing. I have several friends that work for that agency and I know exactly what occured. By no means am I bashing OCFD...but when my neighborhood burns down with no fire engines around...who should I hold accountable as a resident of Yorba Linda. I'm so sick of excuses from this JV agency. I've gone to many meetings and no answers. Next time maybe let the big boys from City handle OC's fires.

  • Maybe as I resident I need to pay OCFD guys more. 28 million in overtime maybe isn't enough. The citizens pay us good money to do our job, so do it.

  • this is ocfa.

  • @LAFDTF98 Well my rig was in LA helping you guys.

  • what kind of gear do they were? What brand packs? I am a firefighter in MI.

  • im a citizen there

  • i live in yorba linda the fire was by me

  • my neighbors house got burned down and a lot in mission hills

  • some houses on my street were burned down it was really sad

  • at 3:00 i know whose house that was they watched their home burn on the news

  • Very well said...thanks for the kind words. I'm hoping that our next big game day will reflect that wisdom like USC yesterday in the Rose Bowl. We are working on a new playbook and eager to get back on the field. Take care!

  • I'm not offended, disrespected, or preachy and respect the right to express your opinion. Hey, USC lost to Oregon...they had a bad day, but still a great team. I'm sure the locker room was full of disappointment. We feel that way too. However, we know FF 101 & A-Z. A good play was our Air Ops made critical water drops on some entrapped Corona FF. Many of our units were helping LACO when this fire started and they helped in return. A pending review will help us do better next time. Take care...

  • I don't let my wife speak for me as an OC Captain. Badmouthing other depts demonstrates a lack of maturity and respect for the challenges and dangers that we must adapt to in a moments notice. The fire service is a brotherhood and the vast majority of firemen consider themselves an extended family. Your comments damage the credibility we work so hard to earn. If you came to my OC firehouse for directions or a flat tire, you would be treated with dignity and respect.

  • Why was ORCO E53 laying that much hose and using a deck gun on that house that was clearly gone???

  • They wanted to see if they could supply the deluge based on the inconsistent water pressure in the area... Once they got it going the Capt's desire was for embers coming out of the structure to be watered down, which the deluge did

  • Were those rounds being fired off at 3:32. WOW

  • Yes... There were several homes burning with live rounds going off during the event

  • another confirmation that we are powerless in the face of nature.

  • how did you get so close? Are you a firefighter?? Excellent firefighter footage. They are sooo brave. Better than the news guys. The video is so clear and distortion free! What;s all the popping around 3:27???

Those firefighters work soo hard. Sad about all those nice houses.

  • the popping is the beams and everything breaking and my friends house is shown burning in this video sad
