  • Oh my God last time I did shrooms it was all about listening to Lennon I need another eighth after discovering these guys

  • Put My Morning Jacket on, smoke a joint, lay on a hammock and watch the sunset from your house overlooking a paddock ending with a big forest. You hear water flowing in a creek in the distance. Such a perfect and peaceful scenario.

  • Updated 1/20/12:

I'm going to agree with that one guy, me and the other 619 that "liked" this song and beat the crap out of the 7 who "disliked" it.

  • dear god this is the greatest song of all time.....this song is sacred.

  • 3:28 Just heaven :)

  • So beautiful that's all I have to say

  • since I've been loving you led zep?

  • this is just like a 70's drink yourself sober out of a long night of getting high song.

  • This song is about one of jims old friends who committed suicide. One of the most haunting songs i have ever heard.

  • I will now tell you the tradition of what to yell at their concerts when they are about to play this song....DONDANTE!!!!!

  • They remind me of Pink Floyd a bit.

  • This song is great, i think this is better or just right with One Big Holiday.. Damn man.. im lost in the sea with this song man..

  • One of the best, if not the best

  • 6 PEOPLE LISTEN TO RAp-_-

  • @fress666 my homemate is a rapper.and he teachs this kind of songs to me. ;) we love also rap.

  • ...incredible* so blown away it made my spelling suffer

  • ...increadible

  • This is beautiful.

  • I think this song is good

  • Not everyone enjoys listening to different kinds of music. Some call this..hippie music and yea, they may be hippies, but its got a bluesy tone. I think it is good.

  • Who needs drugs when you can trip on music

  • @chocottaco because anything worth experiencing is worth experiencing on drugs.

  • @chocottaco Or you can smoke a fat joint and make the music 1000 x more awesome haha. Nothin other than weed though.

  • @wildpoontang

objection, shrooms add another decimal to that number...

  • Quite possibly my favorite MMJ song.

  • Quite possibly my favorite MMJ song.

  • I think those 6 people are deaf. They didn't like the image.

  • I can understand the Floyd influences, but Jim Olliges' voice > Roger Waters' + David Gilmour's voices combined. He's not the best vocalist of all time, but he is in the running. IMO, the only contemporary competition he has vocal-wise is Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes.

  • as i listen to this i close my eyes and it feels like im floating in a world of perfection

  • what are some other bands who play shit more this style

  • @blinkystop mr bungle,

     dr.steel

  • @blinkystop Wilco

  • @blinkystop radiohead is probably the most obvious. dredg is pretty awesome too, but they have slipped off from being an awesome band with their new cds.

  • This song serves as the perfect mood music for any situation.

  • Whoever dislikes this song can suck a fat one.

  • To be able to convey a dream is truly pure natural talent. Dondante is such an epic dreamy, yet haunting song. Reminiscent of Comfortably Numb.

  • @RUgregarious totally agree. I've recently found out about this band and some of the songs I've heard remind me of Pink Floyd quite abit. This one and "Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Part II". Groovy!

  • @krissilent55 that makes 2 of us !

  • @KristenJn its about one of Jim's friends when they were little kids, he ended up going down a bad path and taking his own life, im guessing his name was Dondante, anyways Jim had a dream he saw him walking - like the lyrics say. he explained it on VH1's Storytellers, try and look up the vid for it.

  • @lionsbeardmane Yeah his name was Aaron Todovich.

  • 348 people like this.

  • me and 336 people are going out to beat the shit out of 5 people

  • I saw them live at bluesfest in Canada

I was high as hell and they played this song

    I cried.

  • @GsOrtega93

i'm sitting at work totally sober listening to this.... i wish it was ok to cry at work.

  • @robotdeathderby Lol sucks for you.

  • God its like listening to jimmy hendrix on LSD and marijuana....or in todays term Fucking Eargasm!!!!!

  • awesome.

  • I love MMJ and Radiohead :)

  • lol mmj is super cool..... but i disagree, they are definetly comparible to radiohead...... good on ye tho for lovin mmj...:)

  • @moderndaymama Yea, they both have a kind of sinister undertone to them. Alan parsons project is sort of similar in a way too.

  • MMJ and Tool are two addictive drugs than drags me to another world.

  • way amınım

  • this song.... gives me the chills. its so sad, yet so... peaceful. i.. i dont know. jim sure sounds like an angel

  • i'm so pissed right now none of my friends know My Morning Jacket and they don't want to know them i'm like realy cheesed like i realy want to share this music with everyone plz ppl spread the word let everybody know about this daimond in mud plz

  • How could one person dislike this?

  • @LilStew117 souless

  • This song is... perfect.

  • i still like this over any other MMJ song.

  • this is the best song they got

  • adorable

  • I can listen to this song all day. Such bliss. Jim James voice takes me away to another place. I love it.

  • @Riaoku his voice sounds like Hebert the perv from family guy!

  • i will tell them of your ghost....like a thing that never ever was.

  • im in love with this soul.

  • Normally I'd say this song is about losing a relative or something, but right now I'm feeling like it is a tribute to the disappearance of real rock'n'roll from the American Mainstream. Justin Beiber and co. has got me depressed because it seems most american's taste in music has regressed beyond the point of no return.

  • @soxfan249 Agreed

  • my does it sound like herbert the perv from family guy is singing the song?

  • @HijoDeTuMadre92

dude u just spoiled the song for me! hahaha

  • @HijoDeTuMadre92 YES! so glad someone hears this

  • Le chanson makes me think of the one i love. Like beauty, love is also a composition of moments, an entity shifting forms, destructing & reconstructing, and while our insensitiveness cannot perceive it everywhere,it's there, shakening our insight to reach us.

  • Excelete!!!!!!

  • shivers orgasm music

  • mmmm matt bellamy voice range....always good.

  • @StringQuartetFan wait r u a muse fan and a jacket fan? first person I've ran into that even knows of both bands, unfortunately

  • @soxfan249 i am :)

  • no offense this band is good but radiohead> them

  • i like this song... i'm from Mexico student

  • I don't like their other songs but this one is really good!

  • @jeroenman what about one big holiday??

  • @VEK88 not that good. it doesn't have the style and tension of this song but I must say, the solo is pretty good

  • First time I saw these guys live they opened up with this song. I was hooked

  • This song if f*cking EPIC! masterpiece. chilling to the bones.

  • I first heard this song during my freshman year of college. Upon hearing this... I promptly decided to smoke some weed before the end of the song... turned out to be a great decision

  • great song on its own, twice as good live.

  • Comment removed

  • great song for the bedroom

  • Never has a guitar had so much emotion.

  • @ssacmada hahahah so not true... but its still really good

  • The first time I listened to this album was on a drive on the way to Disneyland.

And let me say - Disneyland has jack shit on this album.

  • @chuckbass916 what episode do they mention it on?

  • These guys are just amazing. They just come at you from so many musical angles. Too bad they sren't getting more exposure.

  • Finally, a band worth buying their cd's

  • I've found this band band on youtube by a happy coincidence and I felt in love at the first moment...

please don't mind if my english sucks ;-)...

  • Another masterpice from phenomenal musicians and songwriters!

  • God DAMN, do I love that falsetto.

  • This reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd, espeically around the 4-4:30 mark.

  • I was hoping I wasn't the only one who thought that. It has a really strong "Us and Them" quality at that point.

  • "Jim James' Voice is so angelic, he makes enja sound like a russian couple fighting!!" Stan Smith....:)

  • its Enya you doof

  • haha

  • lovem both!!!

  • Do you hear an angel?

  • @chaz74332 angels dont sound this good...

  • this song is so spooky.. i love it

  • Egotastic!

  • this sends shivers down my spine

  • This song is powerful

  • An epic final for a great album.

  • the lyrics are soo deep

  • A. Nobody compares them to Radiohead

    B. Radiohead probably goes over your head, try listening to keith urban, maybe that will suit you better

  • Music is music no matter who likes it or who they compare it to. It's all subjective. I'm certain that both radiohead and mmj have respect and admiration for any musician that entertains and creates art. Your ignorance disappoints me; but I expect nothing less from a pretentious douche like yourself.

  • i guess you didnt understand my comment

  • Thom Yorke has dissed the music scene for having a bunch of people who aren't in it for creative reasons... so I hope you mean Thom just supports the true artists, not the ones who simply decide to make music but aren't in it for the right reasons.

  • @alphadude500 mmj are 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than radiohead cX

  • @miiriam7 gotta love opinions

i think they are on par with each other, both fit specific moods perfectly

  • @alphadude500 Looks like we just met the master music connoisseur of the world. Thanks for your wise insight.

  • You Had Me Worried! So Worried - That This Would Last...

But Now I'm Learning - Learning That This Will Pass...

  • Stunning and haunting. Vocals just wrap around you like silk..

  • This is the best song on the album (BY FAR) and is one of the best songs from ALL of their music (which I proudly own).

    It is...how shall I say...HAUNTING

    HAUNTING.....wow....

  • another of my favourite songs of "Z" album, love the lyrics and sound, just great!

  • nice dynamics too and i love how they don't have anything to prove with speed or accuracy, they create a feeling and they do it perfectly

  • 3:30 gives me chills

  • @rebsrule311 i hear you on that one

  • @rebsrule311 they're multiplying.....

  • profound

  • beautifully sad

  • my favourite song. of any band.

  • God this song is amazing!

  • 3:30

    genial!

  • "You had me worried, so worried!, qorried that this would last

But now im learning, learning that this will pass"

the writer supposely wrote the song after a friend who died

  • the first time i listened to Z i walked from Frankfort Ave to Market and kept walking all the way until it was done, then i turned around and listened to it again. i love it. wordless chorus is amazing live. my favorite is it beats 4 u

  • gravity

  • goooood gravy....i love this band

  • Pure awesomeness!

so good that 3:06 sounds like since iv'e been loving you by Led Zeppelin!

  • best song.

  • fuckin great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song. Peaceful, but somewhat aggressive. Subtle, smooth, like the first commenter said its sublime. Great music. Thanks for the upload.

  • This was the first song I heard them perform on a local tv show. I played the song over and over again before I moved on to find out what they are about. Beautiful Noise was the show on VoomHD - It was awesome how they jammed out in every song.
