wow! I had the same problem from 2005 till this night; I finally, after 6 years of doubts, discovered it wasn't a DT song but a James LaBrie one; finally I understood why I couldn't find this song listed as a DT song all these years

It is a melody by Dream theater.

It's James LaBrie's album so that's why you found it like that.

The guitarist is still John Petrucci and all the band is pretty much the same. it's just James Labrie's composition.
