just got this game through steam nice and cheap.

a few peeps seem confused about the coop mode.

you need to create a server in the multiplayer menu, and select coop for game type( use password if u want to play with your friends only, no strangers)

I have this game, and i will give it a 3.5 out of 5. It is really hard until you get used to it. When you get used to this game, it becomes fun. But this is a military simulator, so it is very realistic which means you get hurt easy and etc... so it is alright, but not the best

But it falls slightly short of the 40+ player coop games you can find some Arma2 squads do.

Then again this game supports only 64 entities on the map anyway (including Vehicles, apparently), so having so many player slots on a single side would kind of lower the encountered resistance substantially.

The sound in this game sounds weak. Sound is very important in a shooting game. I wouldn't even consider buying a shooter with weak audio fx.

I miss these days, when watching this video I got really excited at all the promised potential. Here we are just under a month of release and both the PC and console communities are turning their noses up at this game. IMHO CM did a TERRIBLE job not releasing a finished game. I still do play it (NEVER online my god it's atrocious online) but there are elements I do enjoy. Just wanted SO much more.

I dont really find this game THAT realistic. Trees are strong.... but not Army-Strong ;) They should b able to shoot through :) Commanding your squad works in co-op, but i find the A.I. to stupid to be any real help. But I do agree that the playing style in OF beats COD and halo. If it's REALism you want, I'd rather join the army. Joint urban operations beats any game i've tried :D

Campaign s***s. A.I is cheating like H***, shooting you through trees and brush without you even seeing them. Oh, and your team are good for nothings, doing "nothing" unless you tell them, and once you open map to give them orders you get shot, and get to try again from last checkpont which was 15 mins ago :) I still have not gotten an A.I. medic to revive me when i get disabled... Multiplayer isn't so bad though, but i strongly don't recommend this game :( It's just too frustrating.

No the AI did not shoot through trees on you. You were *flanked* by the AI. As soon as you are detected and the AI is not set to remain stationary, its units will start to hunt and out maneuver your. The AI never cheats in OFP2. If your team are into trouble they will *not* have as first priority to cure you, but take care of their own asses first. Just like *you* would in-game and in reality. Also, you don't need to open the map to give orders, just learn the shortcuts and issue them on the fly

i played it co op with a mate last night. he was team leader n got the decent gun with the scope (sniper rifle? not sure). anyway i seemed to be left as the machine gunner. any idea if you can all play with a choice of weapons? at least the same choice for ervyone even if limited. Spoilt my game as i had no range and everytime i got the binockers out switch between that n me gun took too long. Please help, i COULD love this game.

As for a "Simulator" it takes 5 fucking rounds to take out an enemy! 5 MOTHERFUCKING BULLETS TO CHEST! Headshots don't always 1 hit kill an enemy, enemies turn around, see you 500meters away crawling, they shoot you and alert other enemies, all that in 2seconds.
