  • like if your here for Ms Woods

  • please what is the piece of music at 2.50 called

  • is this the very beginning of the documentary? and did u upload the whole documentary?

  • Very good documentary, plus, being the second ever i watched on World War I, but having seen countless about World War II, i must say this already seems very much more objective and honest about both sides, their strength and their motives, than any documentary i ever saw about World War II, including those made by the same British Broadcasting company, or is it just me?

  • Wasn't this the documentary to end all documentaries?

  • @nathanielbagshot

Despite being what ought to have been the war to end all wars, this superb documentary heavily inspired the World at War series which documents the events of the Second World War.

  • Brilliant upload

  • @ThePsybaRat Versions by Eugene Stratton and G.H. Elliot are on here.

  • @ThePsybaRat

It's funny you you should ask that. I couldn't find anything after Googling the lyrics, either. So I contacted Bill Clark, a prominent collector of 78's and he got back to me. The song is called "Little Dolly Daydream" and is composed by Leslie Stuart.

  • wooooo! thanks a bunch, ive benn wanting to get my hands on this for ages =D

  • thanks for putting this up, really good documentary and i agree with you about the first hand accounts.

  • thanks for putting this up. reading a lot about the first world war at the moment and can't locate my box set of this series.

  • trying to get a torrent of this but it's so bloody slow! thanks for putting it up!

  • Nookie, this is stupendous. Gadzooks, how long did it take you to load this! Thank you for taking that time. Always wanted to see this particular documentary on the Great War. WWI has always fascinated me more than any other war (except the Trojan) because what happened then still impacts everything that is going on now.

  • And to think Nazis and neo-Nazis have tried to paint Germany with one continuous history.

  • @Thornfox But it is German history after all.

  • @Thornfox Well the Germanic people have a long history, but a united Germany as we know it, didn't come into being until 1870. Germans can also look at the history of Prussia for a sense of pride.
