Hehe heres a tip that I gathered while on YouTube. You can use Lumiere paint (LittleOrca used this for her tails). I think you would need to paint it After you had sewn it all up. Anyway I have decided I want a tail for my birthday, but I need to do some things first. Anyway, awesome tail, Avaheh!

It is easy to swim with it, getting in and out of the pool is a little difficult as you either have to hop or roll in from the edge. It is fun though and pretty easy to make

It is just a pair of swim fins sewn into the tail, you slide your feet into them, put on the heel strap and then pull the fin up

no actually I just used a cheap pair of fins that I already had.

I sewed a seam in the the middle of the pocket where the fins are to keep it in place

No just regular flippers, they work fine if you sew the pocket around them so they don't move around. Also I had to adjust it a little after I first swam with it because the fabric stretches when it is wet and the fins would move and the waist would slide down. So I just tightened up the seams around the waist and ankles.

May I make a suggestion? Try sticking your arms out in front of you. It helps you steer better and will help you get up for air. Also try bending your whole body when swimming, if you dont already do so. :)
