Almost all pseudo-historical claims in the Bible are discredited by the legitimate archeological community. It is a work of fiction written by and for bigots. That is why I illustrated and uploaded this lecture series. However, if you think that Prof Hayes' remarks are bullshit, I suggest that you take it up with her.

She says that TRADITION identifies the Dead Sea area as the site of Sodom and Gomorrah. That is accurate, as far as I know. She makes no remarks in this video about homophobic sentiments in the ANE.
