  • Well I (Christian from Hamburg, Germany) posted this video. I filmed it myself last year. I don't know Alex, he just appeared on our porch in Cape Coast one morning! :-)

  • hahah i'm a ghanian ass wel and i life in the netherlands (your friendly western neighbour) and indeed this music is funny XD!!! but its nice

  • Nice video! Whats so weird about him? This is just a traditional song from northern Ghana. Some of my family live in Cape Coast, there's quite a few northerners who've settled there.

That instrument is called "Gyil" in northern Ghana and Burkina Faso, or "Balafon" by the people of Mali and Guinea; its the ancestor of the modern Xylophone.

  • "Weird" wasn't meant in a bad way. It was just very funny and seemed exotic for us at that moment. We were a group of german students travelling through Ghana last year and this musician appeared on our porch one morning. :-)So you live in Ghana as well? Greetings from Germany
