I remember loving mandys performance in Princess Bride when i was a child.I found out he was a singer much later, and checked out one of his cds from the library(the cd where this medley was found)and listened to it for the rest of the day, completely entranced by his amazing honesty and vocal ability.Another gem from this album is Poems, a duet with Michael Yukon Grody.Incredible.
Last Thursday, I saw Mandy in concert with Patti Lupone, and he sang these songs alongside her. It was magnificent to hear them both together, and they had such a beautiful chemistry in their songs.
i was in plays with him at the University of Kansas before he left for Juilliard. He was a phenomenon already in 'college. And a good person. I was mezmorized each evening at practice for Fiddler on the Roof. His 'TEVYE' was so awesome....and he was just a young man
@babsrosel WHY hasn't he done it on Broadway ? ? ? I would so love to see him.
Unless it is out of respect for Topol (And I can understand that) I can't understand why he doesn't do it. I love Harvey Fierstein but he wasn't right for the part (especially paired with Rosie O'Donnell) . But when he finally does Fiddler. I pray I am still able to make it to New York !
I just adore Mandy Patinkin and only tonight thought to look for his work here. What a very pleasant surprise. I first heard him sing on "Chicago Hope" many years ago and he knocked my socks off. Wonderful concerts as well. And now I can watch and listen whenever I want.
love you Mandy, Love listening to you for the last 26 years, LOVE Homeland too!

Larry King failed to mention that "Loving You" is NOT Hammerstein. It's Sondheim and from the musical Passion.

I love this.
But at 3:59-4:18, my friend and I were in HYSTERICS over his piano-leaning and head-bobbing business.

I was a fan long before Chicago Hope.

great performer; however; i don't think its effective when he is behind the beat in parts.
