  • I saw them on a special with John Fogerty. They're great. Here is my little attempt at a gospel song which I love.

  • Good stuff. Reminds me of my Grandparents and their Stamps Stompin and Rockin Jams.

  • I love George Younce, JD Sumner, Rex Nelson, and many others, but Dickie Freeman has to be one of the best basses ever. What a classic group. Thanks for posting.

  • we didnt have much growing up, and even though it was the modern age, we didnt get to participate. THE 1 THING WE DID HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO WAS GOING TO SINGING!!! I am so grateful we got to exp. good ol country gospel

  • I absolutely LOVE this group! I was first introduced to this group by my daddy when i was around 19. Im 36 now and my dad passed 4 years ago...listening to this now brings back good memories.

  • MY GRADAD willie richarson RIP GRANDAD I LOVE U WIT ALL MY HEART ALWAYS

  • I find myself watching this almost daily...phenomenal...

  • Some people might call me "racist", but I believe that these men have a richness to their voices that isn't matched by singers of "other races".......guess that migth just make me a "racist", but that's what I think!!!

  • Give me more of this...its unbelievable!

  • i will sit here and replay it like 10x in a row at 1:15 so i can hear Isaac say "just a lil while," that note is crazy, lol

  • This is a way in which God, speaks to all of us.

    Were you listening?

    Was his message clear enough

  • this is amaaazzzzingggggg.....ugh! Isaac Freeman, nuff said!

  • George's face is like, "WOW"

  • wonderful sound. they are brilliant!

  • i want their cd, if they have one. If they don't they should.

  • at 2:26 has to be my favorite run by mr freeman...

  • This is hardcore gospel. No modernisms or attempts to make the message weaker so that it will have a wider appeal.

    Wonderful!

  • I love George's face at 0:45 when he first hears Isaac, lol. Has a "wow" look to it, lol

  • I love this group. And this is the deepest base I've ever heard of. I wish I could sing like Teddy Pendergrass, & Ike Hayes. But also I wish I had this man's base.

  • @rickames He is very good and a very deep bass too.Check out JD Sumner and the Stamps. I think he's (JD) listed as the lowest bass singer on record.

  • is this on a gaither video you can purchase? what is the name of the video, and where can i get it? thanks for posting...this is good stuff!

  • I think its "old friends"

  • top 10 videos on youtube

  • I'm definitely feeling this. Thanks for posting this.

  • George doesnt take his eyes off of Issac the whole song, lol.

  • Although some have passed on, they have just moved on up a little higher and they're turning it out up there!

  • does anybody know where to find the lyrics?? ?

  • This should have millions of views. Just incredible.

  • all but 2 of these men are dead.... sad that this has come to an end...

  • No, it is okay. They reconsitute the members they lose as they either passaway or retire. In fact, they still do studio recordings and public appearances. This is one of those musical traditions that will never fade away and thank goodness that it won't.

  • only 1 of them is still alive, the bass singer Isaac Freeman

  • how do you know?

  • These aren't even the originals.

The group first started in the 1930's

  • According to wikipedia, they started in 1921.

  • in fact it has been going on for 80 years already.

  • These Guys are the Best...

  • Some of the best ever

  • yup a great song a really great song

well i love bluegrass so ha ha ha ha lol

  • 'Great is simply an understatement for this phoenominal group!
