What's with it, every time I hear Aslan or read about them, people mention U2. Build a bridge, U2 were always gonna be a lot bigger than Aslan, their earlier stuff was so much better, they had way more talent, style, better musicians, better songs.

If my memory serves me correctly, Aslan opened for David Bowie at Slane Castle in 1987. I was there and they were great. Good sound in that big arena. I soon went to live overseas and never got to see them play again. But i've been a fan of Aslan ever since and i'll make sure that i'll go and see them again.

My elder brother,who is ill, and in a wheel-chair,came home one day, after meeting with the group, who were taking a break from recording. The studio was owned by Brian McFadden from Boyzone.

This song, everytime its played on the radio/jukebox, reminds our whole community of our local legend, George Johnson. He died tragically when he was hit by a drunk driver while walking home one night. Aslan was his favourite band and 'crazy world' was HIS song....never a dry eye when we hear it. It was a solid plan as they are very successful but they were never Irish unless it suited them to be. Aslan by contrast made music for Irish people because they are Irish and proud of it. I cant say im Aslans biggest fan but i respect them and like a lot of people on here ive had the distinct pleasure of meeting them. A more honest, down to earth group you couldnt meet.

Aslan are proud to be Irish, so weren't successful? They weren't good enough, simple. If they made enough good stuff, worked harder, got out and toured, they might have had more success. They didn't. Love Aslan, and Christy is a gentleman. Have met him loads of times through my job and a nicer bloke you could'nt wish to meet. He has made mistakes in his life and is man enough to stand up and talk to young kids about his experiences and how he'd change them if he could. Love this song. Reminds me of backpacking in Ireland and the locals in the pubs would go nuts when this song came on. At first I thought what the? But I was soon joining them. Have never heard it outside Ireland though, never found it on iTunes and this is the first place I've found it here in Oz. It was 8 years ago but it brings back some great memories.
