@kiki85900 the reason for using honey is for it's healing properties, so I think replacing it with syrup will not give you the same benefits, you could try adding aloe vera bought or natural from a plant but the smell wont be as nice, you will however have the healing properties, If you want to just use the scrub to slough off dead skin cells then i don't see a problem with using syrup but try something natural like maple syrup,or agave nectar and if your stuck then i guess generic syrup is fine
