No one else could ever compose with the technical virtuosity, compositional complexity, yet aesthetic sensibility of Franz Liszt. He was such an astounding individual for some many reasons.
Playing shows character. We are all moving our fingers but few of us can makesense andlife out of this sonata. Also any of the last five Beeth pfsonatasare epic&important.the last two cello sonatas 5,7,9&1o of violin son53,5478.90.101certainly op106,110&111 stand up to Liszt b minor. The idea of one motif for a complete work is a masterful one -it is BEETHOVeN!
Lecce and the origins of the Tarantella Cults, every month at San Pietro a Paolo Cathedral. What a fascinating instruction into social engineering. Trust the Italians to come up with something so totally kooky that it works, and remedies a bad family situation, makes it public, and shames the man who has brough on this madness his wife now suffers from the hands of a (nonpoisonious) tarantula spider bite. The whole thing is insane ... but should never be missed.
Ah you have made a point there. Liszt Sonata is for me one of the pinacles of musical creation ever written. It is the work of a genius as big as Bach or Mozart. Not even one of Beethovens or Brahms or Mozart sonatas can come close to this masterwork of inspirations, imagination an sophisticated engineering, not fully understood by the public. But it takes some time until one discovers all the secrets in this sonata. Brahms fall asleep when Liszt played his sonta to him....
No, sonata is a music piece played on an instrument/instruments, and a song is a music piece that is sung by one or more voices (with or without accompaniment by instruments)

One of the most marvelous pieces of music ever written! It is transcendent. It is remarkable. It is divinity.

I want to learn this song but it's 36 pages long. It'll take me forever, but I suppose I'll eventually make it through.
