  • I love creepy stuff, I am have seen the shining, par of the ring, the silence of the lambs, it, and yeah Coraline, duh! And I am only nine and I swear on my mother's life that I am telling the truth!

  • i just noticed 3 things. on the frigde when coraline is talking to her mom after they get home from shopping, there's a flyer for the store they were just at, 2. when they drop her dad off, it says i heart mulch in the sign, same thing that mel has on her coffee cup. (which i dont understand considering she hates dirt) xD and finally, neil gaiman has wybie's hair style. xD

  • CGI was just invented for people whocouldent spell animation.

  • how about the people that could not spell the word couldn't?

  • yeh yeh, ok lol

  • I liked Toy Story when it came out,

but I really think that CGI is becoming something of a crutch in films these days, and IMHO Coraline was a refreshing change of pace.

  • I think I get what he was trying to say with the 'Toy Story' comment, but I don't agree with him. He's mistaken signature for age. He's insinuating that the look and feel of toy story shows it's age because it was one of the first CGI movies out at the time, so that's how they all look from that time. However, that is not entirely the case. That's just Pixar's style. I watch Toy Story and think, "Hey, this looks like Monster's Inc, or A Bug's Life." Not that it's old.

  • Genius.

  • one love from Jamaica your stile the best for ever

  • I LOVED CORALINE!

It was just an amazing movie

    but the DVD

  • 6:13

Neil Gaimon is dead wrong. Toy Story still looks amazing and is an awesome movie. Story is king, not special effects.

  • He wasn't claiming story wasn't important. He was just saying that 3DCG becomes dated quicker than stop motion does, and I agree. That's not to say Toy Story isn't a good movie though.

Stop motion has the advantage of being real objects as where CG is generated as well as budget and technology can allow.

  • @danime724 Good summation of Mr. Gaiman's comments at the end. I agree with his take on early CG showing its age versus stop-motion. Both Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach haven't lost their luster. Coraline is terrific.

  • I loved the film! This director is a genius!

  • awesome book, and an awesome film! kudos!
